I walked down to the piano room.
If I wasn't allowed to play sports, maybe instead I could play music...
My dad used to play the piano with me as a kid.
I remember him singing to me as we played, me sitting on his lap.
I miss those days. I miss you, Baba.
When I walk down, the piano room is empty.
I sit down and start playing the song 'Faded' by Alan Walker.
I felt calm, music was flowing through my arms and onto the piano. I was at peace.
"That was beautiful."
Drake was standing in the doorway. He walked in, and sat next to me.
"I'm sorry. Did I mention that?"
I can't help it. I start to cry. Drake wraps his arms around me.
"You wanna talk about it?"
I look up at him.
"Why do you care so much?"
"Because... I was a jerk, until I became friends with you and Sam. I owe you guys big time."
"Thank You..."
We sat in silence for a while. It felt better than arguing or talking.
"I brought you something..." He reached into his bag, and pulled out a scarf almost identical to my old one.
"It's..."
"Crappy and Ugly, I know."
"I was going to say lovely, but that works too, I guess."
He chuckled.
"You seemed so distraught over your old one, so I made you a new one."
"I love it."
Drake squeezed my hand.
"You gonna be okay?"
"Yeah..."
"Good."
And soon, I was happy again.
