BACKSTORY: Wes was abused growing up, he didn't think anything of it. he thought it was normal. he thought it was just discipline. until the day he almost died. he had told his teachers who had immediately called child protective services, he was then put in a foster home but very quickly adopted by a loving family. once he graduated high school he went to college and had a beautiful daughter. he vowed to be the best father he could be, his girlfriend at the time was way too unfit to be a mother. so he gained custody.
