I coughed and stood up brushing myself off my wand still grasped in my hand.

"Expelliarmus!" the minister yelled standing up. My wand flew out of my grip and landed in his hand.

"Give... It... back." I said through gritted teeth and ended in a smile.

"Who are you, what age are you, and how did you get here?" Fudge protested holding the wand out if my reach.

"I am Alexandra Moon B-McKinnon, I am 11 years old, and I was using the floo network to get... home after shopping for my first year supplies for Hogwarts. And I coughed." Choosing my words carefully. He nodded and handed back my wand. He reached out a vase of what looked like just sand, but was really floo powder.

"Dumble-" the minister cut me off.

"Why are you going to Dumbledore?"

"Uh... my parents and I have a meeting with him about school." I covered up. He raised his eyebrows at me but went back to his work.

"Dumbledores office!" I yelled throwing the powder on the floor of the fireplace. Once again the spinning sensation suffocated me until I could barley breath.

"Alexandra!" Dumbledore yelled as I fell through the fire place. As I looked up I saw Miss. Minerva's face streaked with tears. She ran over to help me up.

"Where were you?!" she said shakily. I retold the whole story of fudges office. She nodded and told me to take a shower and to give her my clothes so she could give them to the house elves to wash. I nodded back and walked into my circular room. My room was just how I left it; a messy unmade bed, my hair bush strune across my dressing table.

As I stepped into the shower the drops of water scorched my body, slowly picking away at the grime and ashes that clung to my skin. After I had shampooed and conditioned I quickly dried my self off, got dressed and started packing up my things.

I finally finished packing and opened the door a crack.

"Should we keep them away from each other?" Miss. Minerva was asking Dumbledore. Just then she looked over and noticed the door.

"Alex..." she questioned. I bit my lip and walked out. She raised an eyebrow at me but turned back to the professor and said; "I have to get back to my office." And gracefully exited the room. Dumbledore motioned to the two plates infront of him filled with drumsticks, peas and carrots, and a spoonful of pudding on the side. I sat down and ate my delicious dinner.

"Eat up and get to bed early, tomorrow is a big day."

I woke up to find Dumbledore gently shaking my arm. I sleepily swatted his hand away and rolled over. "Sleepy are you?" he laughed. Suddenly my eyes flew open. Dumbledore gracefully stood up and walked out the door closing it softly behind him. I jumped up and reached for my wand. Suddenly I noticed something I did not at Ollivanders. When I turned it over in my fingers the outlines of the engraved leaves shimmered emerald. A small smile formed on my lips. I would find out who I was today.

Finally. After a day of sitting around waiting, this was it. I stood outside the doors to the great hall. Suddenly Miss. Minerva, followed by a gang of children my age. Standing right behind her was the two boys I saw in Diagon Alley. Harry potter with the famous scar and the rude boy who bumped into me. Finally, I was about to start my first year at Hogwarts school of witch-craft and wizardry.
