"I'm going to die from this one day Lee"

"Spoiler alert! Everybody dies"

"Thank you captain obvious" I murmured sarcastically. "Well are we going to do this or not" he said gesturing to the cables on the near by table. "I guess, hook me up" I surrendered.
I stepped onto the plate, Lee tightened the straps on my arms and legs. "We have done this a million times, there is nothing to worry about" Lee said as he picked up the jumper cables from off the table beside us. "There is always something to worry about with this stupid thing" I retorted "Aurora Ciara Wepler, are you sure your ready for this" Lee asked professionally. I glared at him. He knew I hated hearing my full name. He was the only person I gave permission to use it, so he purposely said it as often as he could.
"Just hurry up we have school in an hour" I snapped sharply.
"Hold your breath girl" Lee said hesitantly as he attached the jumps to my industrial leg. A second later a jolt of electricity went through my body. It had never been enough to kill me, but some days I hoped it did. My high pitched scream was enough to make Lee wince from the noise. Within thirty seconds my screech stopped and I laid there silent and immobile. After three minutes the current ended, and I felt Lee's hand grab mine. I pulled away almost immediately, I didn't need his sympathy. "Unstrap me." I stated coldly. Lee looked at me meekly before he let me loose from the plate. "Come On we have school." I continued not changing my tone. I limped to Lee's blue 1969 Camaro, which was parked behind the warehouse. Lee followed after putting the jumper cables back onto the table.
Lee and I had been friends since we were in preschool, he shoved me down the slide one day and I beat him up shortly after, we became best friends ever since. Although him and I hit it off our parents never really got along, his father was a wealthy business man with his own company, his mother died when he was very young, and my parents were pretty much your average working class people. That had never stopped us from making our friendship work and money was never an issue, lee had always been there for me.
Lee and I arrived at school after a silent car ride. We pulled into Lee's reserved parking spot, he was student body president, the spot had his name on it and everything. "Hey, everything is going to be ok" Lee said looking over at me before he got out of the car. I stayed silent. "We are in this together" Lee continued. "Thanks Lee" I said turning my head towards him. "Hey, that's what best friends are for" he laughed. I smiled and pulled my pant leg down over the hunk of metal attached below my right knee.
School was boring as it always was, a few decent lessons and roll call after roll call.
"Rory wepler?" "Here!"
"Rory?" "Here"
"Miss wepler?" "Yes I'm here"
And one substitute teacher.
"Auror-" "it's Rory sir, and I'm here"

Last period was always my favorite, Lee and I had science class together along with a few of our other friends, the Reed brothers, Finnick and Silas. Finn and Si, twin brothers, got Lee and I into quite a bit of trouble which is why we loved them so much.
I got through science and Lee offered to drive me home. "You know what let's go back to the warehouse" I told Lee as we got into the car. "Why, you hate that place" Lee said. "There has got to be a way to stop the electrical current from passing through my entire body, I want to figure out how" I answered. We made our way to the warehouse. "You know if my dad found out what we actually did with this place, he would never let me use it again" Lee said. "Yes. But that will not happen, because you are the greatest friend ever and you know how to keep a secret" I mentioned, as I flipped on the old stereo in the shop. Lee just smiled. "Oh by the way, Ice will be here any minute" I added grabbing a sandwich out of the warehouse refrigerator. "What! No! Why?!" Lee yelled. "I need him to figure this thing out, get over your hatred for him because he is the only person that can help us with this" I told him. "Fine. But I'll be in the front if you need me" Lee said as he walked to the front room of the warehouse. I heard a knock at the warehouse door. "It's open" I half yelled putting my sandwich down.
"Just stand there, and you're with me Zero" I heard ice, a average height Puerto Rican man, mumble as he walked through the door. "Sweetheart! How are you?" Ice said endearingly turning his attention towards me. I glared at Zero, Ice's stupid boy servant and right hand man. "What's up scum, had to bring the whole crew didn't you?" I said gesturing to the buff men with guns standing behind Ice. "I don't think you understand gorgeous, your leg is a valuable piece of metal I have to make sure you are protected" Ice stated. "I don't think you understand scum" I said mocking him. "I didn't want this thing in the first place, so either fix it or take it off because I would rather have no leg then this stupid contraption" I added. "What's seems to be the problem?" Ice said casually grabbing the sandwich next to me. "I gotta figure out a way to stop the electrical current from reaching my entire body" I told him. "It's installed inside your leg there isn't much way around that, love" Ice said with a mouth half full of my sandwich. "Well then I'll rip it out myself" I said standing fully off the table I was leaning on. "Listen princess I'll be back end of the week, I will see what my guys can come up with by then, sound good" Ice said starting to walk out the door. "End of week, Ice! I'm holding you to that" I yelled as he left the warehouse.
"Well that went well" I heard Lee yell from the front. "Thank you for your support, best friend ever" I yelled back sarcastically. "He is a stupid pig, why do you even put up with him?" Lee asked walking back towards me. "Ice is the only person that knows how this thing works, or at least he thinks he does" I answered. "He is a forty six year old with his own body guards and assistant, that never screamed drug cartel creep to you?!" Lee seemed concerned. "Well we are stuck with him now" I told him. "Let's go" I added.
Lee took me home and by that time it was late. I took a shower and got ready for bed. I unwrapped the plastic I had previously put over my leg to take a shower. The endless amounts of duct tape I had secured the plastic with, left a permanently hairless red ring around my knee, from repeatedly wrapping my leg. I fell asleep shortly after, tossing and turning until I could relax.
"Aaaaaaaahhh" A loud shriek echoed from my mouth. I was drowning in a pool of my own blood, and I could not move. I was in a small bedroom with dirt floors. It looked to be a child's room. Dark brown hair and brown eyes flashed through my vision. I was screaming again! Trying to move but only being able to shake my head, almost violently! "Zero! Get her over here now!"
I woke up sweating and in tears! "It was just a dream, pull yourself together Rory" I told myself. I pulled my sheets away revealing the robotic monstrosity that was now my leg. I stood up from my bed accidentally knocking over a lamp from my night stand in the process. About a minute later I heard a knock at my door. I jumped back into my bed covering my leg with my sheets. "Come in" I stated awkwardly. "Is everything okay in here" my mother asked opening my bedroom door. "Yah mom I just knocked over a lamp I'm sorry I woke you" I said smiling. "Well get to bed honey we will deal with that in the morning" my mother told me leaving my room. The worst part of the entire situation was that I wasn't even safe in my own house let alone school or anywhere else. My parents were blind to the fact I no longer had a human leg. I was then the proud owner of a painful overbearing rust bucket waiting to happen.
I shortly fell back asleep, forgetting about the lamp I had broken. The memory of the day I lost my leg lingered in my head before my eyes shut and i dozed off into sleep.
Lee picked me up for school the next morning curious as to why I was limping on my right side. "I knocked over a lamp last night and forgot it was there when I woke up this morning" i said trying to explain the situation. "So what does that have to do with your limp." Lee asked. "I stepped on the glass this morning when I was getting out of bed, i didn't feel anything obviously, but the glass cut a wire in my foot and now my leg is freaking out" I explained further. "Oh wow" Lee said. "Yah, i have no idea what I am going to do, we are going to have to go to the warehouse after school" told him. "How about we just skip math and AP science and just go then" Lee hinted. "And how do you plan to do that?" I chuckled. "The dipstick twins can cover for us" Lee declared. "Ok" I barley got out through my laughing.
School was like clockwork, tic toc, tic toc, roll call, homework. By the time advanced math came around I was itching to get out of that place. I had been dragging around the dead weight of my leg for most of the day. I was chilling out by my locker when Lee told me we were clear to leave. "How did you get the twins to cover for us." I asked. "They got Jameson Wells to agree to hack the computer so our attendance won't be hurt, all Finn has to do is pull the fire alarm so Jameson and Si can get into the secretary's office. It's genius!" Lee told me with a grinning smile. "It's dangerous!" I replied. "Yes.. but if we don't figure this out you might have to tell your parents about your situation and I know you don't want to do that sooooo" Lee said convincingly. "Ok ok let's just go" I retorted.
We made it to the warehouse, there was an familiar motorcycle parked close to the back fence. "I called Zero" Lee said hesitantly as we walked up to the shop door. I immediately turned around and walked back towards the car. "Come back Rory!" Lee whined. "I'll do it myself" I stated angrily. "You think I wanted to do this! Huh? There is no one that hates Zero more than I do! But he engineered this thing!" He paused. "We don't have a choice" he said speaking softer this time. I rolled my eyes. "He better fix me" I said with a short tone. I walked back up to the door with Lee. The awkward silence was deafening, once we entered the shop. "Fix me" I said glaring at Zero who had been setting up some kind of tool set. He was silent and he walked closer to me. I stepped up onto the plate, and strapped my left leg down. "I stepped on glass this morning and cut a wire somewhere, sometimes it feels ok and then sometimes it feels like it shuts off and I'm dragging heavy machinery all day" I explained not making eye contact with Zero. He came closer grabbing a small tool off of the table next to us. He had Lee attach the jumper cables to my leg. "I'm only doing this to see where the connection is bad" he said in a deep husky voice. I did not respond. He looked up at me with brown sorry eyes, and wiped the sweat from his forehead pushing aside his dark brown hair. "This is going to hur-" "Hurt. Yah I know. Just do it." I cut him off. Lee turned on the current and I winced in pain. Not Shrieking this time, but still not being able to handle it. Zero worked as fast as he could trying to repair the wire that had lost connection. He worked with me, as I had to take breaks periodically from the electricity. "Still no idea how to stop this damn current from reaching my entire body?" I asked when Zero had finally finished repairing my wire. "Why does this thing even need to be charged anyways?" Lee added. "The ankle and foot movement don't work without a charge, also Ice has a data chip in it to measure vitals and usefulness of the leg. Keep it charged, I will keep looking for a way to limit the current to only the leg" Zero told us.
He left shortly after, leaving a few blueprints of the leg behind, in case of future emergency. "Six months, six months I've had this thing, we should give it a name." I told Lee. "That was sarcasm, right?" Lee asked. "It's going to be attached to me forever might as well name the damn thing" I answered. "We are not doing that" Lee jokingly stated grabbing a soda from the refrigerator. I could barley stand I was extremely weak. "Why don't you take a nap and I will go see if the twins got expelled or not." Lee told me taking a drink of his soda. "Alright sounds good, we can all hang out here tonight if you want?" I replied. "Sorry I can't, it's Tuesday" Lee said walking out the door. I walked to the front of the shop and laid down on the couch, Lee was never around on Tuesdays. He told me that Tuesday nights were his nights for "Lee time." I guess I respected that, I needed alone time too sometimes. I quickly fell asleep.
"Let's go Zero! Now." I heard a voice say, someone grabbed me and carried me to a small white room with immaculate walls. The lights flickered in my vision I was nodding off. I went from being sprawled over someones shoulder to sitting in a chair. A hand holding some sort of mask was put over my face and my vision left completely. It had seemed like no time had passed when I woke of groggy with blurry vision. As I began to come around I noticed a different room, this time dark, with many drapes and thick blankets covering the walls. I was laying in a bed close to the ground which as once again dirt. I stood from my bed slowly, trying to make sense of where I was. As I stood up I realized I wasn't exactly me. My lower right leg was missing and in its place was a metal replacement. I slowly looked up as I heard my door open. "Well well, the princess is awake" a man said smirking.
I woke up! Night mares again. I heard a knock at the front door. "It's open" I yelled from the couch. Jameson walked in with the twins not far behind him. "Hey losers, where's Lee?" I asked noticing he wasn't with them. "It's Tuesday" Jameson mentioned. "Oh yah I forgot" I answered "you guys want to play scrabble?" I asked. "We play that every time" Si whined. "And we are going to play until you win a game" Finn retorted grabbing the game box off of the nearby shelf. We played until it was dark outside, Jameson being the genius that he was, beat us every single game. At the end of the night we all called it quits because Jameson had the responsibility of driving the twins home. I needed to go home anyways, it was late. Lee and I were going to have to make up the homework we missed, so I needed a good nights rest.
I said goodbye to the boys and drove home. Once I was home, I took off the pants that had been hiding my leg and threw on a pair of shorts. I felt bad for keeping this from my friends, Lee was the only one that knew. We even had the warehouse split into two sections so that the back could be locked off and used for my charging plate and equipment. No one was allowed back there except us, and no one knew what it was for. It just didn't seem fair. I went to sleep tossing and turning throughout the night. The dreams didn't ever stop, I was in misery. I woke up the next morning without the usual text from Lee and without the incessant honking from his car, rushing along my tardiness. I caught the bus for a ride to school, something I hadn't done in awhile. Went to my locker, no daily inspirational speech from Lee. I walked to class alone, not arm and arm with Lee. Sat down at my desk just to watch the clock tic, hoping that Lee was just late. The bell rang, everybody took their seats, Lee was not in the desk next to me. My entire day went by slower, I walked around the halls alone until math and science came around. Science class; I sat in my desk quietly until the bell rang, still hoping that Lee might be there, no Lee. I turned around in my seat. "Hey, have you heard from Lee at all today?" I asked Finnick who sat in the desk behind me. "No, I thought he talked to you" he replied. "No" I said softly turning back around.
The bus ride home was long and boring. I walked in the front door, when the bus stopped in front of my house. As I opened the door, Lee was sitting on my couch....
"What the hell happened to you" I exclaimed referring to the bruising and bleeding around his eyes and mouth. I ran to him before he got out an answer. I walked him to the bathroom, where I attempted to clean him up with a warm wash cloth. "I have a throbbing headache" he sighed, holding his swollen head. "Here, take a warm shower it will help clean the blood" I said gesturing to the shower. Lee took his sweatshirt off slowly wincing in pain. His bare skin revealed a couple bruises on his ribs and almost his entire arm was swollen and slashed. I didn't say anything to him, I let him be.
As I left I placed a towel on the sink counter for when he was finished.
I walked over to my bedroom and sank down onto my bed. I sat there thinking about all of the ways this could've possibly happened. As I was thinking I remembered that this wasn't the first injury that Lee had shown up at my house with. A few weeks ago, he had ridden and old bicycle over to my house with a gash in his forehead, he said that he had just fallen, and a couple weeks before that he had shown up with a swollen lip and a slightly sprained wrist claiming he tripped down his staircase. He seemed to always be getting hurts around Tuesday's. Only minor injuries until now, this was more blood and bruising than I had ever seen.
He walked into my bedroom awhile later in a towel, his clothes being soaked in blood and dirt. I went to my fathers closet to find a pair of clothes for lee to wear. "Hey, thanks" I heard lee say from the other room. "That's what best friends are for" I answered back still concerned with lees current state. I walked back to my room and handed the clothes to lee, I left him alone to change and went to sit in the living room. "So u wanna tell me what's going on?" I yelled from the living room while lee was getting dressed. "I crashed my bike again, big mistake" lee answered back obviously lying. "Lee, u own a Camaro why are u riding your bike?" I asked a follow up question to his suspicious answer. "It was Tuesday lee Time day, I like to ride my bike" he didn't skip a beat. "Okay whatever you say" I mumbled. "Thanks for real though I didn't know where else to go." He told me walking out into the living room. "Your welcome" I stated quietly.
Lee left shortly after that not saying much else about his situation.
School the next day was completely awful, I rode the bus again even though lee did show up to school he didn't bother picking me up. I walked in the building and saw lee standing at his locker about 20 feet away. He turned to look at me and I could tell he had iced his wounds down as much as he could to try and heal them, he even put makeup over them to conceal the bruises as much as possible and he wore a over sized sweater that hid the rest of his injuries. As much as I felt like talking to him I just didn't know what to say, I walked right past his locker not even keeping eye contact.
My first period started and lee was in the desk next to me, somehow it slipped my mind that we arranged our seats that way at the beginning of the year. I ignored his presence most of the hour, not trying to be rude, but not knowing how to approach him. Not that what happened between us was mortifying, I didn't know anything about it, but if he didn't want to tell me what really happened I wasn't going to bug him about it. I finished my day at school and walked out to the parking lot to catch the bus, I was interrupted by a lonely zero waiting next to his motor cycle for me. "What do u want" I said pretty rudely as I walked over to him. He was about two years older than me, and had dropped out of school. I was about to be eighteen and he had just turned twenty. "Lee told me to grab you after school instead of him bringing you out to the warehouse himself. I think I found a way to fix your electric issue" he told me. "Really!" I got excited. "Come on let's go, get on" Zero said handing me a helmet. "On that thing?" I said hesitantly. "You never had a problem with it before" zero openly stated. "That was when I trusted you" I mumbled under my breath as I rolled my eyes and grabbed the helmet out of his hand.
When we arrived at the warehouse I jumped off the bike and ran to the door. Zero wasn't far behind me and although I didn't quite trust being alone with him in the warehouse I needed to find a way to stop the electrical current from hurting me. "So what do you got" I said hopping up onto the work table. Zero pulled out what looked like more blueprints of other mechanical parts. "Your not going to like it, but it's the only way" zero stated seriously. "Just tell me" I retorted. "Ok, There is this box modification I'm working on that can host the energy when its transferred to your leg which means you would be able to hold a charge longer and the current wouldn't go through your body." He started "that's great let's do it" I interrupted. "But you would have to get another surgery to remove and close off the leg from your flesh and muscle so I can attach the modification onto your robotic leg." He explained. "I'm guessing that surgery isn't going to be legal" I assumed. "No, and it's never been done so I'm the only one that can do it, it's my design." he told me. "I don't know I have to talk to lee and figure things out, bring me home and I'll get back to you another time?" I asked. "Sure" zero simply answered.
Once I was home I felt the need to call an emergency meeting with all of my friends except lee. "Wait we aren't meeting at the warehouse?" Jameson asked as I explained the plan over the phone. "No, my house in 20 just bring the twins" I said hanging up.
"What is this about, and why are we at your house we are never here?" Silas asked as we all sat around my living room coffee table. "We are here to talk about lee" i stated. "What about him?" Jameson asked. "Does anyone know if he is getting abused at home!" I asked the group. All I got back was a Synchronized head shake. "Does anybody know where he goes on Tuesdays" I asked a follow up question. Same response. "Well you boys have been so helpful, thank you so much" I said sarcastically standing from the couch. "I'm sorry Rory, we just don't know him as well as you" Finn told me. "Will you guys do me a favor" I asked. "Will you guys dig up everything on Lee's dad that you can, I need to make sure my best friend isn't getting beaten or something" I ordered them. "No problem Rory we will report back ASAP" Jameson assured me. They all left after the brief meeting.
I skipped a shower that night and laid in bed thinking about lee and the whole new surgery thing. I couldn't come to terms with having my new leg removed and risk zero screwing it all up. I decided to turn my full attention towards the lee situation and worry about my surgery another time, my best friend was more important. I fell asleep that night thinking of all the possible ways lee could've acquired that bruising and I hoped that Jameson and the boys found something on his dad.
"Well well the princess is awake" a man said smirking. I almost fell back to the bed, my legs were extremely weak and I was very tired, I could barely stand. "Best take it easy love, you are still healing" the man continued stepping into the small amount of light in the room. "Where am I?" I asked quietly, still groggy. "Doesn't matter, you will be moving any minute now anyways" the man continued. "Aren't you curious who am darling?" He added. "Well as hard as it is to believe that the one and only ice would visit me personally,  I'm assuming you're him, the pompous ass profile fits you" I retorted. "So, Zero does brag about me, I will have to take care of that next time I talk to him" he explained. "Don't bother torturing him or whatever he is loyal, too loyal, I should know" I told him. "Yes, well up you go time to get you moving you have already overstayed your welcome" Ice moved closer to me as if to grab my arm. "I got it" I snapped pulling away from him. "I'm fine" I mumbled. He walked me out of the tiny room and into a small hallway, standing outside the door was two guards holding none other than zero. "You already got to him" I whispered confused and angry. "It's just business" Ice said as we turned the corner away from zero.
The dreams wouldn't go away, no matter how hard I tried. I woke up sweating again, remembering that horrible day. I rolled out of bed not quite ready for the last day of school for the week. I took a morning shower and already anticipated that I was going to be late for school. Morning showers were not fun with a bionic leg, it took twenty to thirty minutes just to wrap my leg with plastic. There was no way I was going to catch the bus.
I eventually made it to school about 15 minutes late for first period. Lee didn't even look at me, I didn't understand what his problem was I was going to be there for him no matter what, I just needed him to tell me.
The day went by super slow and I could not wait for the weekend. Lunch rolled around and lee didn't sit at our usual table with me and the boys. I actually didn't see him anywhere in the cafeteria. I went in eating my lunch quietly and making small talk with the twins and Jameson about the information that they found on lees dad, which wasn't much. Before I knew it lee ran up behind me obviously panicking and almost yelling but still trying to not cause a scene. "Rory, they are here in the parking lot and I know I should've told you but I don't have time to explain right now, I need your key to the theater room attic" he said scared running his words together. "What?!" I asked not understanding his issue. "Your key Rory now! Please!" He continued. I scrambled to take my theater key off the chain it was attached to. As I handed it over to lee he grabbed it quicker than I could follow and ran to what I assumed was the theater room attic. I looked out of the cafeteria windows and saw two big creepy men sitting in lees Camaro. I knew then that this wasn't anything about lees home life.
The rest of the day lee was nowhere to be seen. He didn't show up to math or science and by the time I was ready to leave school his car was gone from the parking lot.
"Are You here to collect an answer for your surgery proposal or is this just going to be an everyday thing now, cause I don't have an answer yet" I said once again walking up to zero and his motorcycle, who was waiting for me. "We have to talk" he said seriously. "About lee." He added. "What do you know about lee" I asked oddly. "Will you just come to the warehouse with me we can't talk here" he told me. I rode with him to the warehouse scared because I still didn't know if I could trust him. When we arrived lees car was parked near the door, but no lee. "Damn, they showed up here" zero said concerned. "Who? And how did they know where to go this place is private property" I asked. "This is what I had to talk to you about, lee is in trouble" zero told me as we walked up toward the door, as we got closer I could see that the lock had been busted. We slowly entered the back of the warehouse and were faced with the same two men that were parked at the school, going through the blueprints and mechanical parts on the table. They turned around when they heard us come in. "So does he have a robot leg too, Zero, is that what you gave him." One of the men stated. "Does it matter" zero said protecting my secret. "he is out anyways he gave you the car and he is leaving you guys alone can't you do the same to him, I already told you I would forfeit my winnings for a month if you left this alone." He said back to the man.  "What is going on" I whispered to zero while partially hiding behind him. "Look at this, Zero brought a girlfriend" the first man stated sarcastically eyeing me up and down. "Well where's my manners, I'm Walt and this is Domo, we are friends of Zero here." he said referring to the second man next to him. "See Zero, you helped lee with this little crime so your at fault to, but she would be perfect for the boss, in fact I think we would be willing to put this entire thing behind us if you rewarded us with this little lady right there." Walt went on to say. "Take your inner perv somewhere else, we aren't interested, you wouldn't want her anyways she would probably be more of a pain in your ass than a pleasure." Zero told them. "We like them feisty where we come from" domo stated grossly, winking at me. "Well it sucks that your going to miss out then, she isn't for sale, this doesn't involve her" zero finally told them. "I guess we will have to do this the hard way" Walt said. "Tell me where lee is I'll deal with you later" Walt finished. "I don't know, where he is, I heard he skipped town" zero explained. "That's not good enough zero, I know you know more" Walt demanded. "Seriously I don't, just leave we aren't going to be any help to you" Zero said. "This was a good talk kid, and we will be back, but know that the boss isn't interested in your winnings your going to have to pay a bit bigger price if you want to stay or at least not get killed, deal is still on the table for the girl" Walt said as him and domo walked out of the warehouse, domo reached for my hair creepily as he left. I pulled away and hid further into zero. Both men just laughed and fully exited.
"What the hell is going on!" I said turning to zero, I was almost in tears. He ignored me and pulled out his phone. "Dial up lee real quick" he said to me. "What wh-" I almost got out before I was cut off. "Just do it Rory" Zero said with his phone up to his ear. "He has to pick up to one of us" he added. I called lee, it rang for a good while and as I was about to hang up, I heard it pickup and lees voice came through. "Hey Rory, what's up" he was whispering and he sound scared. Before I could respond Zero grabbed my phone simultaneously putting his back in his pocket. "Hey lee it's me, Walt and domo showed up at the warehouse, I'm there now, get down here as quick as you can we have to figure this out." Zero talked over the phone to lee. I couldn't make out everything lee said back but I knew he was on his way. Zero hung up and handed me back my phone. "I am seriously going to leave if you don't start telling me stuff" I said more annoyed than ever. "And I will" Zero said turning to me and putting his hands just above my elbows. "I just can't tell you without lee here" he said. I pulled away from his slight grasp. "Don't touch me and talk to me like we are okay, I'm here for lee and at this point I don't even know if I'm going to see him anytime soon, so please don't touch me" I responded. He just rolled his eyes and walked the other way. "What?" I said almost attacking his response. "Nothing" He snapped back. "You think I don't want to trust you and be with you and have everything be okay" i told him. "It can be that way, I mean I just don't understand why it can't" he answered. "You hurt me very bad, and even though you did help me out of a really awful situation, you weren't honest about anything with me." "I still have nightmares about that night, it was horrifying" I explained. Just then lee opened the door. "I'm sorry we will finish this later" zero whispered as lee was walking in. "Don't bother" I retorted. I turned around and hugged lee as tight as I could. "Where have you been all day and what is going on" I impatiently asked. "Hey, hey I missed you" lee said. "I have been hiding up in the theater room attic all day. It was the most secretive place I could think of." He added. "Lucky for me, my best friend had the key" he finished. "It was no problem, but someone has to tell me what's happening" I stated. "Okay sit down" lee told me.
