The rain pelted down hard against her face. There was blood soaking into her skirt, spreading out over the pavement. He shoved his dog tags into her hands, while she tried to stop him from bleeding out. Tears ran down her cheeks mixing with the rain. He was dying in front of her and there was nothing she could do. She watch as the light fade from his eyes. When hands grabbed her from behind. She fought! But they dragged her away, she screamed until they hit her, they beat her until she was quiet. Her blood mixed with that of her brothers. Her cloths no longer soaked with rain, and not just her brothers blood. She woke up on a dirty mattress not knowing where she was or how long she had been there. She had some pain in her right wrist the Eye of Ra was tattooed there. Ramses. She was his now. No one could save her, not her brother or father. No one, not even herself. She would be tainted scarlet. The painted red X was her only savior. She needed to be save, rescued, and set free. Escape was the only option. But could she survive, shed have too. Who would listen broken, dirty, and slave girl? This girl who use to be whole, innocent, and pure. She felt his eyes on her. She had to fight for her freedom. But he was everywhere, where could she go, when running was her only option. Was anywhere safe?

Jayme Mills sat up straight, breathing heavily, sweat poured down her face and she was shaking, the sheets where tangle around her legs. She pulled up her knees, wrapping her arms around her legs and sobbed. The nightmare never changed, because it was real.

The heavy hot air of Louisiana pressed down on her, making it harder for her to breath, the memories suffocated her. Her brother Kevin had died protecting her, trying to save her from the ambush that took his life and took her into bondage.

It had been five years since she had been sold to Ramses on the black market and into sex slavery, two weeks since she escaped his dirty paws and his drug induced prison she had been forced to live in.

The tattoos he puts on all his 'property', a tattoo of the Egyptian eye of Ra. The ink was specially modified, it had microscopic tracking bugs imbedded into its inky blackness. She couldn't go anywhere without him knowing. The doors to the girl's rooms, to her room, had scanners and they had to scan their wrist just to get into and out of their rooms. He controlled every aspect of their lives.

When Jayme was finally able to escape, the only way was a special magnetized bracelet, which disrupted the signal in the trackers. But she couldn't take it off, if she did she risked all hell raining down on her and whoever she was with.

She rubbed her face and got up, she was going to be late to work if she didn't get ready soon. She had met Elsie, when she slipped into her bakery during a thunder storm, she was a short spunky blond. Elsie had taken her under her wing that night, giving her a hot cup of coffee and a fresh scone.

They talked the night through, Jayme told her everything, and Elsie listened not asking question. Jayme felt safe, for the first time in years, she never wanted to leave. But she had to be careful, if she was found, those helping her might be hurt or possibly killed. Elsie gave her a job and helped find her a place to live, but she was still paranoid.
