"Don't you get it? We're vampires, and you're our mate."

Zayn's words rang through my ears, filling my thoughts, making me sick to my stomach.

Vampires

Vampires

VAMPIRES

All my life, I was told that vampires weren't real. That they were fiction of the imagination. They were simply stories of pale, Crimson eyed people who slept in coffins and didn't come out during the daylight, meant to scare children and entertain adults. They were fake.

But something told me these boys weren't lying. The aura around them screamed truth and seriousness. This wasn't a joke in the slightest, though I wished for it to be. Each of the four males stared at me, awaiting my reaction with breaths held.

My body reacted before my mind. I jumped up from the couch, my apparent weakness overcome by fear and adrenaline. My legs propelled me towards the door before any of the singers could react, and soon, I was out of the room. Shouts emitted from the room as I took off down the hallway and through what I guess to be their latest venue. Security gave me odd looks as I dashed away from the room, away from monsters that I didn't think to be real. None chased after me, save for the boys.

I cut around corners and tried to make sure that I had a head start and that I left them a confusing trail to follow. After a few minutes, I continued to run, but I was in a part of the stadium that seemed abandoned for now. The only sounds I heard were the sounds of my own footsteps and my heavy breathing. My adrenaline rush had died down now and my running slowed into a jog, which slowed to a walk. The weakness that had crippled me earlier was returning and I could barely stand. I leaned against a wall, taking a breather, though my mind screamed at me to keep running.

Oh, how I wish I would have listened.

As soon as I leaned against the wall, a blur appeared in my vision; I was pinned against the wall before I could dart away. Forest green eyes pierced into mine, looking disappointed and angry.

"Let me get this straight. You discover that 5 guys are supernatural beings, and you try to sprint away from them?" Harry asked, trying to joke, but was unable to. The anger that filled his green orbs pierced me through and through as he awaited my response.

"You're not a vampire....you can't be, they don't exist..." The rational part of my mind forced the words out of my mouth: Harry didn't look the slightest bit amused, though it did seem he was trying his best to calm himself down. However, he pinned me that much tighter, making me groan.

"Really, don't give me that bullshit, love. You know that we are what we say we are, so let's just make it simple and leave it at that." The Brit muttered annoyedly. "With that being said, let's go back to the green room, shall we? You know, before the guys get a chance to get madder than I am."

Unable to protest due to being heaved onto the male's shoulder, I went limp in Harry's grasp, my thoughts screaming at me to get away from him, get away from them all. But for the moment, I was too scared. Fear held me tighter than Harry did, and just like with the singer, I was unable to break free. As the singer carted me back to the place from which I'd ran, the sickening feeling that plagued me returned in full force and I had to stop myself from hurling down Harry's back; as if he could sense this, his pace slowed slightly and he pulled me off his shoulder and carried me bridal style into the room. Four pairs of angry gazes met with mine upon entering, and at that point, I'd given up and looked at the floor guiltily. Maybe I had over reacted? They didn't seem so bad, but then again, they were monsters and my subconscious wouldn't let me forget it.
