okay so this is happening, I'm really doing this.
"5,6,7,8" Mara yells from he seat Behind the table in the middle of the gym.
We've been practicing for a good 3 hours. Mara and Kaitlin have been teaching us the choreography that we're going to be using to audition.
And it's almost my turn after this last girl finishes it's my turn to show them what I can do and I'm fairly confident in my routine I mean fairlyyyy.
The girl that was going starts the dancing I'm going to be honest with you she wasn't that good hopefully I don't look that bad.
As she finished she walked out of the middle of the gym I start to get really nervous.
'This is make or break Lil don't mess up now you've been doing so good.' I tell myself as I shake off my nerves and put a smile on my face. I can do this.
"5,6,7,8" Mara calls out and the music starts.
It's all adrenaline at this point I'm just doing the moves as I was taught add some facials in there I don't really remember what I am supposed to be doing but I just go for it. At the end of the routine I even throw in the back handspring that I taught myself over summer hopefully that will impress them.
"Great job" Mara says to me as I finish my routine with a smile.
She said I was good. That should be good right I haven't heard her say that all day.
As I walk out of the middle I notice the girls around the gym giving me looks, that just backs up the fact that I was freaking awesome.
I FREAKING KILLED THAT!

It's been almost two hours since tryouts were over. It's almost 6 and if we make the team they give us a call. Obviously is freaking out like... but I'm trying to keep my chill on. I'm sitting in my room with my best friend Annie waiting for this said call to happen.
"You would think this is life or death on the way your acting" Annie says painting her nails on my bed.
"Annie this is big for me" I say checking my phone again then going back to painting my nails
"Well it's not going to be the end of the world if you don't make it" she starts to giggle.
"It will for me" I say doing my best to gain pitty from this girl.
You would think she would want me to achieve my dreams but apparently not. She wants me to be that sad girl with no life still so she can tag along for the sad adventure down the lonely trail.
The timer that was on my phone goes off.
6 pm. They said give them until 6:30 to expect a call.
I feel like it's been hours but it's really only been 3 minutes. I really am going crazy.
At 6:05 I start to get worried. All of a sudden my phone starts to ring and I get really jumpy. I look down at the caller Id and it's just a number. A sigh of relief releases from my mouth.
I pick up the phone "hello" I say and Annie stops painting her nails and sit up.
"hi it's Kaitlin from the Lady Ravens Pep Team. I'm very happy to inform you that you have made the 2017-2018 team" she says in a monotone voice with a little pep.
I keep my chill. "Thank you so much Kaitlin for the news" I'm smiling ear to ear but I'm keeping my voice calm " I look forward to first practice" I say through the phone. "We look forward to having you" she says I can tell she's happy for me which makes me happy. Really happy.
"Bye and thank you again" I say before hanging up and as soon as that call ends I get up and scream
"OH MY GOD I DID IT ANNIE I FREAKING DID IT" I say jumping up and down on my bed full of excitement.
"Did u make it" my dad walks into my room with a smile
"Yessss" I say hoping of my bed and running into his open arms
"I'm so proud of you lil" he says. Oh my lord he's tearing up.
"Dad" I say bracing his hug.
"I love you" he says
" I love you to" I say " I made the team" I say looking into his eyes
"You made the team" he says
"You made the team" Annie says after him
I made the freaking Lady Ravens pep squad. My plan is falling together, I really did do it!
