haseul looked at her mother, shocked.

"what? and you allowed her to do that?!?"

"silence, haseul. i never did."

that made the girl shut up.

"your older sister is now being punished by your father. although, we have a bit of a problem."

they both gulped. they knew it wasn't just a little problem.

"what?"

"your father is hunting haneul."

"why?"

"because she's supposed to be dead in the first place."

the woman massaged her temple.

"what your sister did was wrong, but i don't want haneul to be like us. i want her to live normally."

"haneul isn't having a great time here anyway."

she looked at haseul with a dull gaze.

"if she isn't having a great time here, then being up there is worse. you know that gods have been hunting haneul for years now."

"why? what do you mean?"

jimin looked at the woman, confused.

"haneul killed thousands of mortals and demigods back in the day. she even killed her step-brother and her sister."

haseul grew silent.

"sister? you mean the one who reversed time? but she's alive..."

"yes, but haneul killed her mortal body when she was given one by her father."

"just how long did haneul live?"

"about a hundred decades, but she was only given a mortal body recently."

jimin's eyes widened.

"o-oh."

"i want you both to protect haneul at all cost."

"how can i protect her when i'm literally inside her?"

haseul finally spoke up.

"that is why i'm freeing you. if you fail on this, i won't ever let you see your sister again."

the woman said sternly.

"that's okay, she killed me too anyway."

"you made her kill you, haseul. your selfishness made her kill you then you begged us that you want to stay with her."

haseul looked away.

"we'll protect her."
