Finding Her

I am going to tell you a story today. Its not a story with shiny stuff and aliens. With everything pink or blue. It might not be what you expect it to be. Its not something that you think of daily. But I can guarantee you that its a story that will make you think. Make you feel sad about her. Her who is a beautiful girl. Everyone who sees her gets mesmerized by her beauty. Jay got hypnotized too because of the beautiful face, lips, nose, eyes and hair.

Jay lives in a big city of India. His father, Raj is a real estate agent. He is trying to sell a huge mansion but something is going wrong. Every person who first agrees to buy it, refuses in a few days. They believe a spirit lives there who makes their life hell when they go there. Hearing screams and cries of a girl at night scares them. The devilish laugh scares them even more. Raj does not think spirits are real so does not believe them. According to him, the people are lying because they do not have the money needed to buy the mansion. He plans to send his son to the mansion to investigate.

Jay leaves the next day. Its a five hour drive. He has to pass through many fields with lush green plants growing. Jay loved it. He stops at a lot of places clicking pictures. On his way, Jay meets an old man who tells him that only he can save her. He says, “ Only you can save her ”. Jay is shocked but does not pay much attention to it.

He reaches the mansion. A big old mansion with trees all over. He loves it but he is scared to live alone. He is scared of living alone in such a big mansion. He tries calling his dad but the phone wont connect. He is sad and wants to cry but tries hard not to.

Strange things happen that evening in the mansion. Although its just six, it is pitch black outside. There is no electricity in the mansion. He is able to see, just because of the faded yellow light from the street lamps. The darkness is now starting to scare him. He is trying to find ways to light up the mansion but his ways won't work. He is walking around the whole mansion to find ways to light up the mansion. He sees a beautiful girl playing a huge piano from the window. The piano is all dusty with millions of layers of dust. The girl is beautiful. Her hair is long and a rich shade of brown. It flowed on her white beautiful face to make it look more beautiful. Her eyes are beautifully framed by her long eyelashes, thin eyebrows. straight nose and thin rosy pink lips that added to her beauty. He was mesmerized. As Jay looked more carefully he saw pain in her eyes. Big fat tears,salt of her life started to roll down her cheeks making her eyes look bloody red. Jay wanted to know more about her and why she was crying. As soon as he opened the door the beautiful girl vanishes.

A letter drops from the table and the room lights up on its own. An old letter, yellow paper, burnt from some sides and very hard to read text. He reads the letter aloud. It read,

12 January, 1920

Dear mom and dad, since the day you left everything is going on wrong. My piano teacher tried to molest me but i saved myself by hitting him with the candle stand and he died. We informed the police about it and they investigated. They found things that belong to me in his house. They also found his journal that tells how he used to feel about me. But now he has turned into an evil spirit and is making my life hell. He also killed Margaret, the servant and the driver who were expected to take care of me. I am locked alone in this big house. He molests me everyday and I am unable to do anything about it. I just have one choice. A choice that he has forced me to make. To save my life from that monster, I have to end my life. I have no other choice. I have to do it. I just wanted to tell you how much i love you both. Jay doesn’t realise this but he is crying. Big fat tears are falling down his cheeks soaking the letter. He felt bad for her. Words then started to appear on the letter. It read,

Only you can save me. Even after dying my spirit is trapped by this monster. I waited long enough for a person who can save me. My heart tells me its you. Save me. Save me. Save me please.

     Suddenly, Jay starts hearing screams and cries of Preeya. She is asking for help. She is trying to tell Jay about Remu ( the piano teacher ) and how he is molesting her. Jay tries to help her from that devil but he is unable to see them. He can just hear them. He can hear the horrific devilish laugh of Remu and the screams and cries of Preeya. These noises continue for more than an hour and then they stop. Unexpectedly, Jay feels a kick and he flies and falls at a distance. He is hurt but his hurt is not more than the girl’s. He decides that he is going to save her from that demon.

     Jay couldn’t sleep all night. He thinks of ways he can use to save this girl but he can think of none.

     The next morning he goes to his front yard. He sees the same old man who he met on his way here enchanting something. Before he could go and talk to him about Preeya and Remu, everything changed in front of his eyes. He has now reached a market. By what people are wearing and what the place looks like it feels that he reached back in time. He sees a guy selling newspapers so he checks the date. It read 7 january 1920. He knew something is going on. He had reached the year and the month when Remu had tried to molest Preeya but she had killed him. He sees Preeya buying jewellery from one of the stalls.

     Jay goes up to her pretending to be new to the village and having to lost his way back home. They both talk for a little while and then Preeya shows him the way. Then next day is the day when Preeya kills Remu. Jay did not want this to happen so he goes to her house with a bouquet of flowers in order to thank her.

     Preeya tells him about her piano class. Remu arrived when they both were chatting. Jay asks them if he could stay for listening Preeya playing the piano but Remu refuses. Jay sat in front of her door so that he can help Preeya when Remu tries to molest her. After a few minutes  Remu comes outside and kicks Jay. He falls at a distance. Remu then goes inside and tries to molest Preeya. Jay couldn’t stand up but he tried shouting, trying to tell Preeya not to kill him, but she could not hear him. He could see Preeya hitting Remu with the candle stand but he could to nothing.

     In a moment he went in the past again. Everything started happening all over again that happened since yesterday. He met Preeya in the market again and asks her his way back home again. The next morning he snuck inside Preeya’s house and hides in a place where it would be safe and he can run when Remu tries to molest her. Remu comes. They play the piano for a while and then when Remu tries to molest her he runs to help her. Instead of her killing him, Jay kills him. As soon as he kills him, he returns back to the present. He reaches his front yard.

He is happy and is walking towards the main door when he finds another letter. This letter tells him how Preeya is now. She is married to a man. She and her husband have three kids and they live happily without being scared of Remu. He can see them in front of his eyes.His eyes swelled up with tears and his lips formed a smile. He then goes back in the house and sleeps peacefully.
