I was a regular 13 year old girl going out to dinner with my family. We chatted over tacos discussing our day. I never thought that would be the last time I spoke to my parents.
As we were driving home my father was yelling at an idiot driver in front of us in a large truck. My mother was busy figuring out how to change the radio station as my brother and I just sat and starred at each other.
Then all of the sudden the world went into a deep blurred sleep and my eyes were shut.
I woke up to my older brother screaming "CARO, CARO!" and tears rolled down his cheeks and he was shaking me. I slowly regained consciousness and sat up. I asked "Where is mom and dad?" He didn't say anything, he just starred at me and more salty tears rushed down his face. He hugged me, and I hugged him, and we sat there as big rolling tears emerged out of our eyes and rushed down our faces. That was the first time I had seen him cry.
