Heaven or hell (poetry)

People don't get what they've got

When they have it

But then get it

When they lose it

I have a question

When you scream

And no ones around

Does it change anything?

People say

Hold your head up

Keep fighting

You will win

They say

Let go of what hurts

And hold on to what you love tightly

But they don't know what that day will bring

People don't know the pain

The will to keep tears

From falling down your face

Wishing you could curl up in a ball

And just go to sleep

Wishing for once

Couldn't you just have

The quiet wrap around you like a blanket

To for once have peace

But people forget

You have feelings

You feel

Pain

Love

Lust

Hurt

You feel them stick the dagger they call words

Deeper and deeper

Waiting to see who can make you crack

Crack under

Pressure

Pain

Ignorance

They sit in the shadows

The ones that mask their lies

And wait

To see

Which way you choose

The path to safety

Love

Heaven

Or

the path to pain

Destruction

Mainly known as hell
