As Ash continued marching robotically down the dorm hallway, over dramatically thundering his feet against the wiltering carpet and successfully startling and annoying the group of Omegas walking past him, he couldn't care less. In fact, he hoped people would be clearing out of his way, he couldn't imagine having any civil conversations any time soon. Not when his mind was so occupied with a certain Alpha, his hands perspiring nervously at the thought. Each flash of her face sending a jolt of both embarrassment and giddy down Ash's spine.

Damn, what was wrong with him lately? In the deepest depths of his mind, Ash new exactly why he was acting so ridiculous, but the miniscule pieces of logic that he still retained told him otherwise. To think otherwise.

Though, to Ash's dismay, a certain pair of nosy friends would just be leaping at the chance to uncover what had rattled him so much right before he stepped into professor Oak's room. The nosy teens, especially the female counterpart, would be practically strangling him for answers.

And of course, Ash knew he wasn't renowned for his control of emotions, nor his canny ability to remain stoic like Paul. The Alpha who was eminent for masquerading his utter lacking of emotions. Thus crossing out the option to avoid the subject altogether. Eventually, Ash made the final turn to his dorm room. Passing a variety of silver plaque numbers until his eyes roamed over the familiar numbers of his own dorm. The desire of taking a nap seemed to successfully progress as he lazily searched his back pocket for the metal chain that collected his only way to get into the crappy dorm.

Which, lead to a whole other spiral of waves of envy as Ash bitterly remembered the practical castle the Alphas lived in. Three stories, two humongous libraries, a spa, bakery, over arching entrance that resembled something out of 18th century gothic architecture, and a large state of the art pool and gym. What did this crappy dorm have? Oh, a library that was falling apart as fast as the seems of the books in said library, an entrance that resembled something out of a decaying college and a gym, if it could even be called that.

It was almost laughable, how pathetically big the division between the two groups were. All thanks to a corrupted dean and a school banking on large grants that only covered the Alpha aspects of the school. The Omegas were left to rot along with the other half of the school. They certainly weren't on the cover of the brochures. Most of the Omegas were lucky enough to even be there, relying on food aid and such because they weren't special enough to earn scholarships, nor rich enough to pay off the school. The only reason they were kept was because of a system implemented a century ago that's goal was to, ironically, help students who had.... Special circumstances. But, they were just seen as the E class of the school.

So, with Ash so overly bitter, when his hand felt a lack of cold metal, the unfamiliar, desolate weight of his pocket became glaringly obvious. Groaning inwardly, Ash knocked roughly on the door frame to his dorm. Silently reminding himself to stop underestimating May's cunning ability of theft.

"Come in!" two familiar voices ringed, both voices lacking their usual normality and instead filled with mirth. Ash could only scowl as he whipped open the door. He knew he should have just opened it.

Both May and Drew were perched lazily on his bed. Smirks attached to their faces as if sewn to perfection.
The keys Ash had been flailing around looking for were neatly tucked away in May's palm.

May's lips were set in a leer as she teasingly shook the chain of keys in front of her face. Wordlessly apprising to Ash the cause of his weightless pocket.

"Did you have to take my keys?" Ash groaned in botheration, attempting to snatch the chain out of May's grasp. Buy, the moment happened in a blur. May had seemingly discovered other means of entertainment, cackling as she teasingly snapped her hand back out of Ash's reach, which sent him hurdling ceremoniously onto the floor.

A sharp glare fixated on May once Ash got his bearings, this time successfully yanking the metal chain away from her before any more physical damage was done. Mainly to himself. Meanwhile, Drew chortled under his breath at Ash's predicament and suspense, glad that for once May's antics were directed at someone else. The raven Omega's scowl only deepening.

"You weren't being cooperative, so I took matters into my own hand," May defended nonchalantly as Ash picked himself off the floor for a second time that day.

"Time to fess up Ash," Drew finally barked, cutting right to the chase, eager for some unknown answers to be shed into the light.

Ash grumbled something about wishing he lived literally anywhere else until he eventually caved. Half-heartedly dragging his desk chair over, Ash flopped into the seat. His eyes remained fixated on the ceiling as he morosely recited the events following his departure with the two Omegas from the Boy's bathroom, from the encounter with stupid face Gary Oak and another humiliating and confusing conversation with the queen Alpha, until finally ending the tale up to the present. Glossing over as many details as he could and using the least amount of words as possible.

May and Drew listened on contently as to not interrupt Ash's story. After a brief pause of silence, Drew burst out in aggravation, "What a jerk!" May only nodded her head grimly in wordless agreement, unaffected by her friends' outburst.

Meanwhile, Ash could only mock his own inner turmoil. Figured he of all Omegas was the first to make enemies with Oak's grandson. Normally Gary just stuck up his nose when an Omega ever crossed paths with him.

Lucky me, Ash rolled his eyes, humorously conjuring up ways he was sure Gary could humiliate him. Ironically enough though, his unraveling thoughts seem to leak away from the obnoxious Alpha to a much more pleasant one, which scared Ash more than he was willing to admit as he never thought the words 'pleasant' and 'Alpha' could possibly be uttered in the same sentence. Let alone an Alpha ever being described as anything but a, to say the least, a substandard remark.

"So, what are you going to do about Misty?" May questioned, shattering the awkward silence enveloping the room.
