Chapter 1: My name is Kahari

Kahari POV

My alarm goes off at 6:20 am, just like it does every morning. I get up out of bed and start doing my morning stretches which consists of lunges, getting in a split like position and touching my toes and some other arm stretches.

Once I'm done I put some work out clothes on then go for a run around the block three times. I know what you thinking;

Ew, home girl didn't even have a shower?

That's because I don't see the point of getting all fresh just for me to get sweaty so I just do it when I get back it makes sense right? When I'm done with my run I head back in my house, by now my mom is already up making breakfast for us kids.

"Kahari, wake up your little brother for me please he needs to start getting ready for school." My mom tells me as I pass the kitchen to go back upstairs

I go in my little brother's room. Kai is 5 and just the sweetest boy ever, he had caramel skin and bright brown eyes with a curly little mop of his head. This boy is my everything. I think he's my little son of my own.

"Wakey wakey sleepy head time for school" I gently rock him but this boy pushes my hands away from me and covers his face with the covers.

Rude.

I let out a short sigh knowing there was no subtle way in waking up this boy so I don't know why I was trying

Picking him up out of bed forcing him to stand up in the cold floor. This makes him groan while rubbing his eyes " Ari you so mean to me " he mumbles as he walks away to begin getting ready for school.

I shake my head then head to my own room stripping out my clothes so I can jump in the hot shower. One hot shower, 3 badly sung songs later I come out wrapping a fluffy towel around my body while I brush my teeth, spitting when I'm done. Unscrewing the mouthwash I pour a cap full in my swishing, swirling and gargling the purple substance in my mouth before spitting it out.

Going into my bedroom I lotion my body with my pear and passion fruit cream then spraying the matching body mist all over my body. I lift my arms putting roll on underneath my armpits.

I know. I know. But spray deodorants are too harsh for my sensitive pits.

Once I am done I get ready by putting on a yellow cropped hoodie with blues shorts and my blue Nike sneakers. I brush my teeth and comb my hair until all the knots were out.

Running down the stairs I see little man already at the table stuffing his face with food. Damn! did I really take that long getting ready? I join him at the table and my mama fills my plate with bacon, a stack of pancakes and some fruit salad.

10 minutes later I finish, I put my plate in the dish washer then give Kai and my mama a kiss " see you guys later. I have practice so I'll be home late love you bye "

I grab my car keys to my pretty yellow Honda civic and my book bag before heading to my car, I get in and start driving to school with my music low. Loud music gave me a headache and I didn't want to be in bad mood for the rest of the day.

Parking my car in my usual spot I see my best friend Cassidy across the parking lot all lovey dovey with her boyfriend Prince who is the captain of the basketball team.

He is hella tall....just like a tree. Prince is a good looking little light skin boy, with a small gold hoop earring in his ear, hazel eyes with curly mop at top of his hair and fades back and sides.

My best friend really got it going on with him, nearly two years together and the sexual tension is through the roof.

I get out of my car making sure to lock it straight away then I head over to them " Hey guys!" Cassidy pushes Prince out the way and hugs me tight " Girrrlllll it's been like forever " she says dramatically as I hug her back just as tight

I chuckle " Because forever wasn't yesterday right " I say sarcastically. We let go of each other and I give Prince a hug but it didn't compare to mine and Cassidy's. He sees his friends and kisses her head before going to them.

" I have some juice and I need to let it all out before I explode!" She squeals

I roll my eyes at how child like and dramatic she can be but I love her that way " Okay so give me this so called juice "

Before she could say anything the bell rings " I got to go I have a test first thing tell me at break" I walk away from her and quickly make my way to physics.
