A Knight's Code of Chivalry

I love the idea of a code of Chivalry, and I believe that everyone should follow one. Whether it's an existing knight's code of Chivalry, or whether it's one slightly altered to fit your beliefs.

My personal code of Chivalry is very simalar to most existing knight codes, but with a few additions and subtractions. For example, I'm not going to be following a liege lord. As for additions to my personal code, I believe that you shouldn't touch the dead.

I don't know why but I've always seen that as the highest form of disrespect. Probably because once you're dead you can't speak for yourself.  Actually I don't think anyone should touch the dead unless it's someone of profession, like a coroner or a doctor, or a really close loved one and only for like one second to say goodbye. For me this goes for animals too, I  will not touch a dead animal no matter how close i was to it. Actually the only reasons for touching a dead animal would be surrounded around survival.

I also am extremely against unnecessary killings. I don't believe you should kill something unless you plan to eat it.

Alright I got a little side tracked there, but as for other parts of a knight's code of Chivalry: It makes my blood boil when I see someone hurting or taking advantage of the defenceless, or when I see people disrespecting  women and the elderly. Also I believe that if you give your word, you should keep it.

One thing that I struggle with though is honesty, although I must admit I've gotten better at telling the truth.
