Bubbles In Wonderland (Boomubbles AU)

Chapter Ten

"Raise your arm higher, or you will be strike down." Brick said.

Bubbles groaned, raising the sword higher. The sword is weighs much more than she, but the only thing that pushed her through is the cause. She's only fighting for Boomer. She knows how much he cares about this place. Bubbles may not understand this place but she does know she doesn't want this place destroyed. 

She looked over, Brick looked bored as he clashed his sword against hers. Blossom sat in the chair talking to a guard with short black hair. Bubbles looked and saw both girls are giggling and talking but not looking at her. Bubbles glance back at Brick, who took his sword and swiped it under her feet.

"Gah!" Bubbles exclaimed as she hit the ground.

Brick sighed, "If you truly want to save Wonderland, you must get your head out of the clouds!"

"My head isn't in the clouds!" Bubbles exclaimed.

"Oh yes it is. Wonderland will burn by your hand if you do not pay attention!"

"I'm trying!"

"Not hard enough. Bubbles, darling, I know that you are but this place isn't just a unstable land. It's home to thousands of people. If you truly want to save, then please do not let your mind wander."

Bubbles frowned as she pulled herself up. Brushing off the back of her blue dress and looked at Brick. He's drinking some strange drink but his face is clearly not here. Go figures, Bubbles thought, he tells her to not let her mind wander but he is doing the same thing. Unfair. 

"What about you?" Bubbles asked.

Brick didn't hear. Bubbles eyes narrowed, she raised her sword and looked at the blade. He's a prince, if she makes the wrong move then everything would go south. She rather not have the blood of the prince on her hands. Bubbles put the sword down, she isn't going to raise it to an innocent. But how is she going to slay a dragon?

Bubbles knows that there is  no way she could handle killing anything. She isn't a killer but this prophecy claims she is. How is she going to free the entire land if she can't get her head out of the clouds? How is she going to save the land that Boomer loves so much? 

Is she going to break Boomer's heart if she doesn't save Wonderland?

Bubbles shook her head and swiped the sword under Brick's feet. Brick fell back with a loud yelp. Multiple people looked over. Bubbles felt bad but she stood straight up, pointing the sword towards Brick. Bubbles try to bury all the guilt that she is feeling. She hopes that she didn't hurt Brick at all.

Brick started to laugh, "There you go!"

"I'm sorry! Did I hurt you?" Bubbles asked, completely worried.

"Hurt me? No way. But this is how you should be training! Do not fear of what I think, as long I'm still breathing and living then we shall slay that dragon!"

"What if I can't slay the dragon?"

"Excuse me?"

Bubbles lowered her head, "Prince Brick . . . I do not know if I could truly kill a living creature."

"You're doing good for Wonderland!" 

"But killing another living creature, that's wrong!"

"Listen here Bubbles, if you don't slay the dragon then it's over! Everything in Wonderland shall be forever gone and no one will live again."

"Brick, what are you saying?" Blossom asked.

Brick red face paled as he looked around. He forgetton that people are around. Instead of explaining what he meant, he turn to walk away. Bubbles looked at him then back at her sword. What did he mean by that? She thought, is she really going to the reason why Wonderland will be forever gone.

"Go to Hatters. Training is over, we shall pick up tomorrow at noon." Brick said.

Bubbles opened her mouth to say something but the guards grabbed her arms and pulled her back. Bubbles didn't fight them mostly because she's lost in thought. Bubbles didn't want to be the reason that Boomer's home will be forever lost. Bubbles sighed as they pushed her through the front doors, and slammed the doors behind her. Bubbles jumped but smiled as soon she saw Boomer sipping on tea, talking to the trees.

"Boomer!" Bubbles exclaimed.

Boomer looked and smiled real large, tossing the tea cup behind him. He ran over to Bubbles and swung her around, smiling. Bubbles giggled as Boomer sat her down. He checked over her face, making sure there isn't any marks or bruises. Boomer finally loved what he saw nothing harmed her, he walked towards the exit with Bubbles following suite.

"So hows training? Did he let you have tea breaks?" Boomer asked.

Bubbles frowned, "It's going great."

"What's troubling you?"

"Nothing!"

"Bubbles, please don't lying. It causes wrinkles near the mouth for every lie."

"That makes no sense."

"That's why it's perfect, my darling." Boomer said as he poked her nose. "So, what's wrong?"

Bubbles sighed, "Boomer . . . what happens if I can't slay the dragon?"

"Something bad, I suppose."

"Is it going to destroy Wonderland?"

Boomer nodded. Not making Bubbles feel any better about having doubts. She brushed her dress down as they walked down the golden path. Boomer looked over, noticing her sad face. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders, bringing her closer to him. 

"Don't worry, Bubbles. Everything will be alright." Boomer said.

"What happens after? You know if I really slay the dragon?" Bubbles asked.

"That's up to you."

"What does that mean?"

"Well, you choose whether you want to stay in Wonderland or go home." 

"And if I have no idea?"

"Trust me, once this is all over. You shall know what you want."

Boomer grabbed a piece of her hair, rubbing it between his fingers. Then he let it go from fear. Bubbles looked up at him, wanting to hug him but she couldn't. 

What would she do? Bubbles thought. Would she stay or would she go home?
