*crash*
"Geoff? Was that you?" Awsten called out as a response to a loud crashing noise that came from downstairs. Geoff wasn't the most careful person Awsten had ever lived with, so hearing a random violent sound in the middle of the night wasn't all that surprising.
Awsten sighed when he didn't get a reply. He let out a groan as he closed his laptop shut and placed it on the empty bed space next to him. He rolled out from under the covers and headed downstairs to investigate the noise.
"What did you break this time, Geoff?" Awsten sighed as he looked around the area for his brown haired boyfriend.
Awsten checked the living room, the office and even the bathroom- no sign of Geoff. The only place he hadn't checked yet was the kitchen, so that's where he headed. The house was eerily quiet. There were no noises whatsoever, not even from outside- but then again, it was nearly 2 in the morning and no one but Awsten would be awake at this hour.
Awsten strolled into the kitchen, which was pitch black- there was no way Geoff would be in the kitchen; he was afraid of the dark. But Awsten decided to switch the lights on anyways, for the small chance that he would be in there. The purple haired boy flipped the switch and blinked a few times to adjust to the sudden light.
But he wished he never opened his eyes. He looked down at the marble tiles of the kitchen floor and let out a deafening scream. There's was blood all over the floor, oozing from the pale body of Geoff that was laying limp on the floor.
"Geoff! Oh my God! What the fuck?! What the actual fuck is this?! Is this a prank? This is so fucking cruel if it is!" Awsten cried, hoping that Geoff would say something stupid to assure him that he wasn't dead.
Nothing.
There was no sound except the sound of Awsten's heavy breathing as he kneeled down next to his boyfriend's cold body and cried. There was a knife impaled into his chest, right where his heart was. There was no rescuing him. He was dead.
Awsten pulled out his phone from his pocket and dialled in Otto's number. He didn't know how Otto could help, but he just didn't want to be alone. The phone rang. And rang. And rang. "For fuck's sake, Otto, answer the phone for once!" Awsten muttered in anger.
"Hello?" A calm and familiar voice answered the phone.
"O-Otto!" Awsten gasped in relief.
"Hey dude, what's up? I just totally annihilated Jawn in MarioKart," Otto chuckled.
"GEOFF IS FUCKING DEAD OTTO! I DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT MARIOKART!" Awsten hollered into the phone.
"W-What?" Otto gasped. "Geoff is... dead?"
"Yeah," Awsten said as more tears streamed down his face. "Could you guys please come over? I don't know what to do!"
"Call the fucking cops, you dumbass!" Otto said, pausing for a moment before continuing, "You weren't the one who killed him were you?"
"No! Otto! Why would I kill the love of my life?" Awsten exclaimed.
"I'm not accusing you of anything, calm down. I'll be there with Jawn in 10," Otto said before Awsten ended the call.
Awsten sat there in despair, trying to piece together the fact that his boyfriend was dead. Who had killed him? And why? Questions buzzed through his mind as he looked into Geoff's lifeless blue eyes.
The doorbell rang, making Awsten jump because of the sudden breaking of silence. Awsten wiped the tears from his eyes- he hated people seeing him cry- as he stood up and headed for the front door. As expected, he found Otto and Jawn standing on his front porch.
