Louis' POV

Do I blame him for what happened? Should I? I don't think I should but still something inside me feels as though I should. Do I feel any different for him? No I love that man with all of me. He couldn't protect me and I know everything that happens now is pretty inevitable. I've been on this porch for hours now just thinking over everything, until a rumble of thunder jerked me from my thoughts. I went back inside and sat on the bed. I've been here for about 15 minutes.

"What are you doing?" I ask myself.

I stand to my feet and walk out the bedroom and to the living room. I don't see Harry.

"Harry?" I call out.

I inch into the room further until I see him on the floor. His knees up to his chest and his back against the couch.

"What happened?" I question after seeing the glass everywhere.

He stays silent.

"Harry answer me!" I say sternly.

He finally looks up at me and I can tell he's been crying.

"What's wrong?" I question.

"Everything, I know you're mad you have every right to be, and Liam wins it's that simple. I'm a disappointment I know and I failed you." he says.

He couldn't of helped the fact that Liam pulled his gun faster. It wasn't his fault. He must think I hate him for what happened. I don't how can you hate someone you love? It's impossible.

"Harry no," I kneel in front of him, "I don't think that, you're my whole world, how in the bloody hell can I hate you?" I say.

I place my hand on his knee.

"We may be strained to no end Harry but in no way will this tear us apart you can't let it. I'm scared, terrified even. Liam may be after us and he may burst through that door and shoot one of us again maybe even the both of us but we can't let that fear defy us!" I say.

"Fear has always been a factor in this Louis, from the beginning until now fear has always been there. You said yourself that I can't protect you." he says.

I close my eyes and swallow hard.

"Because it's true! I can't be protected against Liam he's too dangerous I suppose. Harry no one has ever been able to escape him except me. He's ruthless and will stop at nothing to get what he wants. He can take whatever he wants from me, except you." I say.

His emerald eyes scan mine and he rests his hands on top of mine before pulling onto his lap. I straddle his lap.

"I texted Liam and told him he wins." he says.

I scrunch my brows together.

"What exactly does he win?" I question.

He shrugs.

"I don't know why I sent that to him. I shouldn't have." Harry says.

"You're right you shouldn't have. I know it's hard but he can't win. We can't let him, like I told you. We're letting him and fear run this and we shouldn't." I say.

He nods and looks down. I place my finger under his chin and make him look at me.

"Please don't give up on me, okay?" I say.

"I won't." he says softly.

"You promise me?" I question.

"Yes I promise." he says.

We need each other this I know. We've come so close to giving up because we let what's been happening get to us. So much so we almost gave up on each other.
