"Did you get any research done?" Zayn asks me as soon as I sit down. I look at him, and he looks just the same as he did yesterday. Hair is the same, soft smile, and the letterman jacket hugging his frame.

"I didn't, I had things to do. I'm sorry." I state biting down on my bottom lip. Zayn shrugs it off, looking at me with his eyes scanning over my face.

"It's fine, but we will get some things done today. I have practice until six, so just text me your address and I'll be there." Zayn states and I nod my head slightly, and I watch people fill up the classroom.

"Just a heads up, Thomas plans on ambushing your boyfriend during lunch. Heard that if Lodge got into another rumble, he'll get suspended. Thomas is pissed at him for landing that punch." Zayn tells me and I look over at him.

"Are you serious?" I state sighing, knowing this isn't the type of spotlight we need during the first week of school.

I pull my phone out scrolling through my contacts until I find the group chat that Ryan made just so she could talk to all three of us at one time.

Mia- Thomas plans on ambushing you Luke.
Ryan- Wait hold up.
Luke- I'm not scared of him baby
Ryan- Aw a Muke moment :')
Mia- Muke? Sounds like puke.
Luke- because you're puke honey
Mia- suddenly I don't want you as my man.
Logan- This is weird.
Ryan- shut up muke
Mia- I texted for a reason, not to get attacked
Luke- I can attack you Mia ;)
Logan- This is a G rated chat you sick fucks
Ryan- Honey, if this is a g rated chat you can't say stupid shit like that
Mia- I texted to alert my boyfriend on this not for this weird texting thing that's happening
Luke- baby I'm not worried
Logan- We will be on high alert for him Mia, don't worry about anything
Mia- I know you're the Ravens & all but I don't want any of you guys getting hurt
Ryan- Mia we love you.
Luke- You care about us Hawkins :)
Mia- I care for Logan & Ryan. Not you Lodge :)
Luke- That's not what you said last night ;)

I can feel the heat rising to my cheeks, as Luke turns around to face me. He shoots me a wink, before chucking at my expression. I roll my eyes at him before smiling because he has that effect on me.

"Thanks for telling me that Zayn. I know you didn't have too." I tell him looking over at the football player sitting next to me. Zayn offers me a kind smile.

"I know I didn't but I don't want to see anything bad happening to you." Zayn states and I bite down on my lip. I look away not knowing how to reply to him.

Our lunch period comes quickly, and I'm walking to the table where my friends are sitting at. I place my bag down and claim the spot next to Luke. I look over at him as he folds his pizza and takes a bite out of it.

"You're so cute." I state humming softly, and Luke turns his head looking at me as he swallows the bite he had in his mouth and sets his pizza down.

"I'm anything but cute, babe." Luke scoffs and I roll my eyes, letting my hand rest against his stubbly cheek. Luke grins at me before he leans down capturing my mouth against his. I happily oblige to him, letting my lips move against his.

His tongue slides over my bottom lip, and I part my lips for him. The thought of us being in the middle of a people filled area slips my mind as I scoot impossibly closer to him.

"Are you guys being serious?" Ryan's voice tears us away from each other and Ryan and Logan stand behind us. Ryan rolls her eyes and Logan is wearing a smirk as he winks at Luke. I feel my cheeks heating up as I shake my head.
