' "Valdronya, I feel as though we don't belong together." "What do you mean my darling?" She pulled from his grasp and walked some feet away. "I mean, I'm a human and you're a vampire there's all kinds of things that could go wrong. Besides, I don't feel worthy to be your bride. I'm too...plain." There was a pause, before music filled the bayou air around them and the clouds pulled off the full moon, casting its beam like a spotlight on the monster as he began to sing.
"Loving you keeps me alive, think again before you leave me. His love cannot be as true as the love I offer you. You're wasting time pretending you belong to him...come to your senses." She winced at the mention of Bram. "Loving you keeps me alive, I'll be in your heart forever. And you'll be a part of me from now till eternity. You've talked yourself into believing he's the one...such wild pretenses." Have I? She thought, quietly continuing to listen.
"The first time I set eyes on you, I knew I'd never be the same. I never knew I'd get such pleasure, whispering your name. If loving you keeps me alive, then how can leaving me be right? Turn back and let me love you, stay with me and let us dance into the night." Something clicked inside her at the thought, something big.
"You are the one, the only one...to make me see the empty life I lead. You are the love, the only love, I'll ever need." She turned and looked at him with large disbelieving eyes, heart swelling with a longing she knew was at last satisfied.
"The first time I set eyes on you, I knew I'd never be the same. I never knew I'd get such pleasure, whispering your name. If loving you keeps me alive, then how can leaving me be right? Turn back and let me love you, stay with me and let us dance into...the night!!!"
When he finished, she ran into his open arms and relished his tender embrace. Soon they pulled back to gaze into each others eyes, both lit with love.
"I love you Jasmine." Tears made her eyes glossy at the words. "Oh Valdronya, I love you too." That's when he kissed her and she happily returned it, fingers weaving into his gray hair while his hands cupped her cheeks. When they parted she gently rested a palm on his cold cheek and smiled, no longer caring how different they were.'

Jasmine woke easily from the flashback, finding her cheeks tearstained and her heart aching. She stood and went to the window, gazing out upon the morning sunlight.
"My love...I await your return, I long to dance with you again, please come back my darling." And there she stood for a few minutes, before getting dressed and heading off to find her friends.
