My grandpa always say that everyone is an ugly duckling waiting to blossom into a beautiful swan.

I beg to differ, I think we are who we choose to be meaning

some people choose to be evil some choose to be good.

Then there are those that want to be good but keep getting tempted by people to do bad.

Like me for example.

I was on my way to school minding my own business when some guy yells to me "hey your ugly four eyes!"

Now normally I could care less what people say about me. (because with my intellegence I will have started my own company when I graduate high school and the people calling me names will have repeated the same grade)

Except this guy just wouldn't stop. he followed me all the way to the bus stop down the street from my house.

he was literally right behind me screaming insults into the back of my head.

And thats when he crossed the line.

"Hey loser! where's your idiotic little brother I'm sure he will enjoy being in the trash with the rest of the garbage!"

Thats when I lost it, I turned around and socked him right in the mouth.

he made a sort of oof! sound and fell to the ground.

"Ugh, your gonna pay for that doofus!"

He picked himself up from the ground and hit me over the head with something hard. and it was lights out for me.

Now I know what your probably saying to yourself was violence really the answer? or something along the lines of sticks and stones but my little five year old brother named Carlos has autism and when he went missing last year it spread like wildfire and my whole family was on the news.

My mom stood in front of the tv cameras crying and pleading that if anyone saw or heard anything about his whereabouts to please come forward and say something.

The telephones started ringing off the hooks after that aired on the ten o' clock news. all of our neighbors got involved and brought over food from thier houses, comforting my parents saying how sorry they were and that he would be found soon.

one week later the search and rescue team found my little brother holding onto a tree, ten miles from our house in a huge neighborhood park he had garbage all over him and he reeked of pee.

No one knew how or why he ended up there.

he barley speaks anymore kids sometimes stop me in the school hallways quoting my mom and mocking her tears. kids can be so cruel sometimes.

So you can't really blame me for getting upset. I love my family a lot and I'm very protective over my little brother.

when I woke up I saw someone standing over me holding my glasses for me.

It was none other then Jacob, the one person who gets away with not speaking.

seriously this dude never once opened his mouth to speak!

Even the teachers let him slide.

but thats probably has something to do with the fact with him being one of the most smartest kids in our 9th grade year.

(besides me)

Whatever you are thinking no he isnt a mute.

I know this because I was late for school one morning (this rarely happens but my alarm didn't go off) I was running down the hallway and turned the corner to overhear him arguing with the school janitior.
