**the next day**
Today is cheer tryouts so I'm definitely gonna try get on the team. In New York (where I used to live) I was captain of my cheer team at sch and went training 4 times a week. Not to brag or anything but I'm pretty good. I haven't found any gyms to practice at yet but hopefully there are some.
I was walking to my last period (English) when that creepy jock came over to me
"Hey, I'm Justin" he said
"Oh, hey I'm Brooke" I replied
"Hows it going at green lake high?" He said
"Shit" I said
"Wait did I say that out loud?" I said sarcastically
He laughed then was pulled away by a cheer leader.
Typical.
English was actually quite fun tbh. JUST KIDDING. Who tf wants to learn about Shakespeare and how to learn about romeos undying love for Juliet?
NO ONE.
Anyways, now was tryouts I'm super excited and I've got a routine prepared for it.
*at tryouts*
" hey everybody thanks for coming I'm Gemma your captain, we are going to get all your names down and then by alphabetical order we will let you perform. 5 girls will be making it on the team as there are already basically a full amount" said the captain.
Only 5??
There's like 15 people here!
"Perform what?" Said a small blonde girl
"Your routines" the Gemma replied
"What routines?" Another blonde girl said
"The routines you should've prepared before you came here! If you haven't prepared one, then I advise you GET THE HELL OUT!" The Gemma said
Half the girls walked out?!
They didn't even try to improvise?!
Wow.
Since my name is Brooke Davies, I was the 3 person to perform. The two people in front of me were really good, but I'm around their level so there not that much competition.
When it was my turn to perform I noticed the whole football team were watching me.
No way the new girl who looks like a nerd is trying out for cheer?

The look on the cheer squads faces after I finished!

I just walked to the side and drank my water while watching the rest of the cheer leaders perform.
About 15 minutes later, everyone got called up to see who got in
"Ok everyone, I'm now going to read out the names of the girls who got in: Amy Willing, Jessica Marie, Taylor hall, Riley Thomas and Brooke Davies. Thank you everyone for coming and if you didn't get in then don't worry, there's always next year. Now can Amy,Jessica,Taylor,Riley and Brooke come over here while the rest of you go get changed and go home". Said Gemma
I GOT IN!!!
Yayayaayyayayayayayayay
I'm so excited to wear my uniform everyday and go practice. I can't wait to get back in my normal routine!
"Well done girls, you all performed with courage and team spirit! Practice starts tomorrow and here are your uniforms!" Gemma said
She handed us our blue and white uniforms. I couldn't wait till tomorrow.
Everyone left and I was about to leave when Gemma called my name.
"Brooke! Hey Brooke!" She said
"Yeh what is it?" I replied
"Do you want to eat lunch with us tomorrow and you performed really well today!" She said
"Thank you! And yeh sure why not, I'm so excited to become part of the team!" I said
"No problem, once you've been here for a while, it feels like we're a family! I've gtg but see you tomorrow!" She said
"Bye!" I replied
Wow
Gemma is super nice I can't wait to become friends.
I can't wait to cheer again.
