I woke up and ran to my closet. Ripped out my cheer uniform and chucked it on.
Wow.
It's pretty short
It just about covers my underwear
The looks people are gonna give me.
I hate the attention all on me I feel like I'm taking it away from something more important. It's hard to explain.
Anyways I got in my car and drove to school. I was greeted by Gemma as soon as I got out
G- Gemma B-Brooke
G- hey Brooke
B- hey Gemma
G- what's your first lesson?
B-maths, I'm skipping it tho
G-haha I was thinking the same thing! Come with me.
She grabbed my hand and snuck us to this basement area. It was so cool! There were sofas, a vending machine and a ping pong table! How she got this down here was the question. There were two other people in there. Two boys
Justin! Justin was there and I think the others guys name was Evan.
J- Justin E- Evan
J-hey Gem
G-hey guys this is-
J- Brooke. Brooke right?
B- yeh
G-you guys know each other?
J- we bumped into each other the other day.
G- that's cool
E- hey Brooke I'm Evan
B-hey Evan, so how did you guys get this stuff down here?
J-gems uncle is the janitor here and he gave us the keys during winter break when the school was empty
B-that's so cool, who else knows about this?
G- most of the cheer squad
E- and some of the football team
B- I can't believe you haven't got caught yet!
G- ikr we come here most lunch times
B- wow
We got to know each other so well that period and they are so nice. Nothing like the girls and guys at my old school.
After being there for and hour, we went to next period.
Me and Justin had art while the other two had history.
We made our way to art when he asked me something
J- have you got a bf
Wtf
B- um no why'd you ask
Justin shrugged
B- have you got a gf?
J- idk
B- what is 'idk' supposed to mean?
J- well-
B-ohh your like the player so rn you've got a girl who has a bf but like makes out with you?
J- when you put it that way it sounds ba-
B- so I'm right, your a player, well first things first, don't EVER try to play me

And with that I walked of

He wouldn't even want to play me anyway
Ugh I probably sound self obsessed and that I think I'm all 'it' and I sound like a bratty bitch

The next few periods went really fast and soon it was lunch

B- oh hey
G- coming to the basement?
B- yeh sure
When I got there there was like 10 people in there!
Everyone stared at me when I walked in
G-hey guys, this is Brooke she's new and part of the cheer squad. Play nice!
A girl called Rebecca came up to me and bashed past my shoulder
Wtf I don't even know her!
R- Rebecca
R- stay away from my boyfriend
She whispered in my ear
B- umm your boyfriend?
R- Justin
B- oh don't worry i don't want him anyway
R- don't lie. Especially not to me
B- babes you can keep him. And btw your not his top priority anyways
And I walked of
What a bitch
I met a load of new people and sooner or later lunch was over and the next periods flew past.
Yay now I have cheer!
"Hey everyone thank you for coming I'm going to read out positions for the new routine. Can we have Brooke Davies as a flyer, Lizzie Langley as a base......." ( and so on) Gemma said
Yay I was a flyer in New York and I love that position. I love being thrown up into the air and feeling the air blow against my skin
(Sorry, cringey)
We learnt the first half of the routine and next thing you know, it was time to go home 😕
G- hey Brooke, there's at party at Evans this Friday I was wondering if you wanted to go?
B- oh yeh sure, what time is it?
G- I was actually wondering if you would like to get ready at mine?
B- um sure text me the address and what time to come.
G- okay, byeee
Earlier that day we had exchanged phone numbers. I was chilling at home when my phone pinged

Gemma- hey my address is - 23 acres way and the party starts at 7 so how about you come around 5ish
Brooke- okay thank you, 5 sounds great. I'm not sure what to wear though😕
Gemma- I'm wearing a simple black maxi dress, don't wear anything to glam, but don't wear anything to casual.
