Part 4

7 days later:

As you sit in class, on the cold Friday morning, there is only one thing on your mind.

Your teacher babbles on about the periodic table. You stare ominously out of the window, for the majority of the class. Your mind is cluttered from the memory of how absolute and perfect Niall is.

You can almost hear his laugh and smell his cologne. But at the same time, the thought almost scares you, knowing Niall for only a week and already becoming so emotionally attached to him. You knew you would most likely see him again somewhere, as you had before. And the thought warms you, and you really do hope you will see Niall again.

For someone you know almost nothing about, you couldn’t help but feel close to him. Maybe it was his undeniable charm, or maybe his cheesy smile that seemed impossible to forget.

You try and focus on the lesson once more, with no avail.

You try and distract yourself, staring up at the clock. 11:10. You smile to yourself as it slowly moves to 11:11. You remember Niall, prodding you to make a wish. Everything was beginning to remind you of Niall, even a simple number on the clock.

You wonder, if Niall is having the same troubles, getting you out of his mind, but come to the conclusion that he had most likely forgotten about your entire existence.

Finally, the lunch bell rings and you shoot up from your seat, eager to finally have some time alone to sort out your thoughts. Why was it so hard to just forget about him?

You snack on a stale cookie as your head spins. You’re sitting in the cafeteria.

“Hey!” says a voice behind you. You groan, wishing you could just be alone.

“Hi.” you say as you turn to face a girl that you recalled from your math class.

“What’re you doing?” she asks, sitting in front of me, tapping her fingers on the edge of the table we both sit at.

“Eating.” you say.

“Did you hear about that new boy band?” she wonders. You roll your eyes but quickly make sure she didn’t see.

“No, I don’t think I have. I sorta want to be…”

She cuts you off, “they’re called One Direction I think. They’re really hot.”

You mutter something under your breath for her to go away but stop, “really?” you say instead.

“Yeah, my favourite is this one.” she points to the five boys that sit as her phone screensaver. You stop and stare for a moment at her phone.

“What’s this ones name?” you whisper, your heart speeding up, as you point at the blonde boy who is slightly turned away from the camera.

“I can’t remember.” she shrugs, as she picks at the granola bar she’s been eating.

You gulp as she pulls her phone back into her pocket. Did you really see correctly? You swear the blonde boy resembled Niall an awful lot, but the thought seemed to freak you out so you stop instead and focus on your cookie.

You begin to tell the girl that you would like to be alone for a bit when the bell rings marking the end of lunch, and any time you thought you had to sort out your thoughts was lost.
