Imagine: Starring You and Brendon Urie
Imagine #22
You and Brendon are about to get married. You're about to become Mr/Mrs Urie, which is freaking incredible. You can't believe it, this is a dream come true. You're standing in front of a mirror with your older sister, who's showering you with praise about how wonderful you are and how everything is going to be okay for the most part from here on out. This is a magical day, you're marrying Brendon who's the love of your life. You need to get out of your head, stop obsessing about things that haven't even happened or most likely won't. You're famous for dwelling on silly things.
You take a deep breath, fix your outfit one last time, and walk down the aisle before fear gets a hold of you and makes you run the other way. When Brendon looks at you, tears from in his eyes and your heart begins to race. He's looking at you like the most perfect human being in the world. He's the only person who's ever treated you like royalty, which is why the two of you have been together as long as you have. You smile at him and grab a hold of his hands with the help of your sister. She hugs the both of you before going down to her seat.
The two of you continue to radiate love throughout the church. You're surprised the two of you are getting married in a church despite not being super religious people but oh well. Churches make good wedding venues. The both of you listen to some old guy ramble before exchanging lovely wedding vows that make the both of your hearts flutter and tears stream down your faces like a waterfall. Brendon's vows truly hit you in your feels.
After a little more rambling, the two of you are allowed to place ringers on each other and share that magical first kiss as a married couple, the wedding chimes ringing in the background and your loved ones cheering you both on in the sidelines.
The perfect wedding is followed by a lovely reception at a lakeside tavern. It's evening and the sun is slowly beginning to set, the lights are turning on, and the stars will soon light up the sky. The romantic in you is craving to make some more moments out here with Brendon. As if right on cue, he shows up still wearing his tux looking as handsome as ever. He wraps his arms around you and hugs you from behind. "Y/N, have I ever told you how much I love you?" You roll your eyes playfully. "Only all the time but I sure do love hearing it. I love you too Brendon. Say, can you sing me a song? Your voice melts my heart every time I hear it. My all time favorite song of yours is This Is Gospel."
Brendon flashes you a mega watt smile and begins singing his hit song right away.
This is gospel for the fallen ones
Locked away in permanent slumber
Assembling their philosophies
From pieces of broken memoriesOh, this is the beat of my heart, this is the beat of my heart
Oh, this is the beat of my heart, this is the beat of my heartThe gnashing teeth and criminal tongues conspire against the odds
But they haven't seen the best of us yetIf you love me let me go
If you love me let me go
'Cause these words are knives that often leave scars
The fear of falling apart
And truth be told, I never was yours
The fear, the fear of falling apartOh, this is the beat of my heart, this is the beat of my heart
Oh, this is the beat of my heart, this is the beat of my heartThis is gospel for the vagabonds,
Ne'er-do-wells, insufferable bastards
Confessing their apostasies
Led away by imperfect impostorsOh, this is the beat of my heart, this is the beat of my heart
Oh, this is the beat of my heart, this is the beat of my heartDon't try to sleep through the end of the world
Bury me alive
'Cause I won't give up without a fightIf you love me let me go
If you love me let me go
'Cause these words are knives that often leave scars
The fear of falling apart
And truth be told, I never was yours
The fear, the fear of falling apartOh, the fear of falling apart
Oh, the fear, the fear of falling apartOh (This is the beat of my heart)
The fear of falling apartOh (This is the beat of my heart)
The fear of falling apartOh (This is the beat of my heart)
The fear of falling apartOh (This is the beat of my heart)
The fear of falling apart
When he's done singing, you grab him by his tie and crash your lips onto his. The two of you end up kissing for so long that you don't even realize the sun has set and the stars are indeed lighting up the night sky. You notice your sister smirking at the both of you, causing the heat to rush to both of your faces. The two of you walk back into the reception hand in hand, listening to sweet toasts to you both for the rest of the evening and eating delicious food. This is truly the best day of your life.
