Liam's POV
The thing I noticed about her the most was her eyes. They were the lightest shade of blue I had ever seen--so blue they looked like a pool that hadn't been touched since the beginning of time. I had never seen eyes like hers before.

She had long dark hair that fell to about the middle of her back. There was a braid that fell gracefully down the side of her face, and she wore a long purple dress that made her eyes pop out. I'm not going to lie, I stared at her the entire night.

Well, why didnt I go up to her, you ask? If I was so obsessed with her, then why didnt I ask her to dance?

Because I'm a Payne(hold the jokes, please), and she's a Y/L/N. If I asked her to dance, my father would explode.

Personally I think the whole rivalry thing is stupid, but my father will not budge. So I must be content with watching Y/N from across the ball room. I leaned against the wall and studied her. She giggled with some of her friends, then glanced over in my direction. Out gazes locked, and I blushed, jerking away and staring at the ground. I heard heels clacking against the floor. "So is there a reason that you're always staring at me?" Her melodic voice asked. I glanced up and my eyes fell on Y/N; her arms crossed over her chest, a small grin on her face. My eyes slipped up and down her figure, and she rolled her eyes. "Oh, pu-lease." She teased. I grinned at her.

"Did it hurt?"

"Did what hurt?"

"When you fell from heaven." Y/N looked surprised for a moment, then threw her head back and laughed long and hard.

"Well, why haven't you asked me to dance yet?"

"Because I don't think my father would like to see me dancing with a Y/L/N." Y/N looked confused for a moment, then understanding flooded her eyes. I saw a twinge of sadness anyway, and she huffed.

"This whole thing is ridiculous." She complained. "I wish it never happened." I nodded, agreeing with her, then I glanced over at my father. An idea burst into my head. I grinned.

"Wanna go outside?" Y/N's eyes sparkled.

"Yes!"

That was the beginning of mine and Y/N's secret relationship. I was in love from the first day--I loved the way she walked, how she talked; the way her head fell back and her laugh echoed throughout where ever we were when she was laughing, usually at something I did or said. She found everything I did to be funny, and I loved making her laugh. Kissing her was even better--her lips were so soft, and warm--I could kiss her for hours. I loved the how her fingers so perfectly slipped in between mine, or how she glided those same fingers wildly through my hair when we were kissing. The way she would tug gently on my hair or moan my name quietly, or bite her lip when she wanted me to kiss her... itwas enough to drive me insane, and I had to excuse myself to the bathroom once or twice to take care of my...problem. And that's when the best night of my life started...

"Ugh, Liam, yes..." Y/N moaned as I sucked gently on a spot on her collarbone. I lifted my head and blew gently on the spot, kissing it quickly, then rolling off her and landing quietly on the bed. We were in my mate, Zayn's guest house. His family knew about me and Y/N, and had given us the key to that house so we could hide there and see each other every so often.

"How the hell am I supposed to hide that, Payne?" She said, running her fingers across the newly formed bruise and pretending she was angry at me, but her eyes twinkled too much.

"I wish you didn't have to hide it." I said.

"I wish we didnt have to hide this...us...how we feel." She said mournfully. I sighed and pulled her into my arms, pressing my face into her neck.
