Guardians of Creatures

Chapter One: The Foretold Prophecy

In this very kingdom of Chowa live many, happy creatures. Everyone could laugh and play without a care in the world. The queen, Misuto, made sure of this by assigning the best creatures of diverse elements to protect the creatures of Chowa from any evil and harm.
The first element, fire, was assigned to a lion with courage and strength. The second element, water, was assigned to the queen's daughter who was intent on finding more peaceful solutions and merciful. The third element, electricity, was given to an eagle with perseverance and always willing to defend anyone. The fourth element, phycological, was given to mouse with the highest intelligent and guidance. The fifth type, darkness, was given to a snake who had the qualities of a thief and liar but was loyal. The sixth type, nature, was given to a deer who took care and loved everything that lived.
Then, the sixth and final type was given to someone we knew we couldn't trust, but the queen said that everyone deserved a chance. She said that stereotyping creatures was wrong and that the addition of an ice element would help the kingdom. The ice element creatures we're known as dirty liars and backstabbers. But, the one thing that they can do unlike any other is take down dragons.
North of our well protected kingdom are mountains that pierce the clouds. This is where the ice elements live. Our king and the other guardians traveled to the mountains to retrieve the perfect one for the job. They climbed and defended themselves from savage ice creatures as they did. Finally, they found a cat who was skilled with ice. She was fair and introverted, but got angered easily. The others were wary about the queen's decision, but she said that with love and respect the ice creature's​ heart will thaw.
Years after the guard formed, much progress was made in keeping the kingdom safe. Though no progress was made in thawing the cold heart of the ice creature. The other guardians we're considering in sending her back to the mountains, but she had easily slain so many dragons while they had struggled. After some discussion, it was decided that the ice creature shall stay.
Not too long after, the mouse called the guardians together, for she received a prophecy. "Light will melt the ice for it to form into a harder, colder being." Of course, the ice part gave away that this prophecy was about the ice being. This upset her and threw her into a rage.
A day later a light shone in front of the castle. Misuto and the Guardians approached the light, which then took form of a dog. With baby blue eyes and fur made of light, the being bowed before the queen. "I have been sent here for I have been called upon through a prophecy. I am a being of light which can take down dragons and vanquish darkness." The light being said in the most beautiful, silky voice that anyone has ever heard. "Now, I request that I accompany the Guardians and help protect the world from evil." Immediately, the light being was accepted and joined the Guardians.
Since the light being could protect the kingdom from dragons, what use was the ice being. Not too long after the light being joined the Guardians, the vile ice being snapped and assaulted the Guardians. Unfortunately, the ice being was so strong that not even the fire being could take her down.
Then, the light being changed. In her desperate attempt to save everyone, the light being changed into her final form. Her light bathed the ice creature and sent her away into the mountains for good.
After that day, Chowa and the whole land was in the safe care of the light being.
The mother closed the book and looked at the front cover. After a few seconds, she lifted her black eyes to her children. They stared back, comforted by the story of light overpowering evil.
"We should be thankful, for living in such a well protected kingdom." The mother sighed. Her feathered wings brushed the book cover lightly. What she didn't know was that north of the kingdom in the mountains, was the iced over body of the the ice being that was awaking... to get the revenge on the creatures who threw her out like she was nothing...
