"sucks to swallow, idiot sandwich"

CHAPTER 2
Alex's POV

"So then he turns around and he's all like 'My place or yours', and I swear Kayla looked like she could burn a children's hospital right then and there." Karine's narrating what happened in Bio to Serena and Cam who are sitting across from us at the cafeteria table.

"That's gotta suck Al, she's seriously gonna ruin your life, I can smell a Hannah Baker moment coming" Cameron says.

"Seriously Cam a suicide joke? That's low... even for you" Serena scolds Cam and we all laugh. They act like an old married couple. They always feel they need to disagree on everything.

"Hey how'd you guys even get paired up anyway, mean while I'm left with with Regina George x Malibu Barbie x Wicked Witch Of The West" Karine says shivering to add affect to her statement, as if truly afraid for her sanity. Who wouldn't be though?

"Honestly, I don't know but I'm not complaining" Cameron says putting his arm around Serena. Serena moves over removing his arm from her shoulder.

"You better hope you're as smart as you are pretty" Serena replies.

Cameron gets up. "Did you here that guys?!" Cameron yells to the entire cafeteria. They all look over and it's utter silence.

"Cameron sit down! What are you doing?" Serena pleads, but her request falls on deaf ears.

"Everyone! Hyaena Serena thinks I'm pretty!" Cameron says and everyone laughs. Everyone loves Cameron and Serena. Out of our group of friends those two are the most popular. They could come to school in garbage bags and I guarantee it would be a thing the next day.

Serena gets up, grabs Cam's chocolate milk and dumps it on his head. Everyone laughs and Cam looks at Serena in complete shock. "Wow! You just did that!" Cam says and then grabs a handful of spaghetti from his plate and throws it at Serena.

Some of the spaghetti hits Tiffany and Brandon who were making out at the table behind us. And they stop, look up and and both yell "Food Fight!"

From then on it's just utter chaos, and next thing I know Karine and I are outside of the principal's office during our 5th period spare waiting for Serena and Cameron to come out. They finally come outside with Principal Porter right behind them.

"And I expect to see the caf sparkling, got it?" Principal Porter states.

"Yes dad"

"Oh and be back by dinner Cam, you know how your mother is." Principal Porter says.
"Afternoon ladies." Cameron's dad greets Karine and I, and walks off to do Principal stuff.

"Dude, so what's your punishment?" Karine asks the two trouble makers.

"We both have to clean the cafeteria after school, and I don't get my allowance for a month since I started it." Cam says.

"Ha ha sucks to suck, pretty boy" Karine says fake laughing.

"Sucks to swallow, idiot sandwich" Cameron replies making us all laugh.

"Hey I'm gonna go find Sebastian so we can see if we can meet at his place after school, seeing as clearly you guys are all busy with detention, gosh you guys are such a bad influence" I say putting my hands on my hips.

"Shut up!" Is the reply I get from the three stooges.

"Bye betches!" I yell on my way out, getting a disappointed look from the secretery. I text Sebastian asking where he is, he says he's in study hall. I go to study hall and pace back and forth in front of the door hoping he'll see me. I peak inside and he's looking towards the door holding up one finger indicating that he just needs a minute. I take that minute as an opportunity to work out how to ask him.

I don't want to sound like a desperate hoe that wants to be in his pants, but I definitely don't want him working at my place. That would go bad... just bad.

He finally comes outside. "So, what's up?" I say all too enthusiastically.

"Nothing much just studying and working out plays for tomorrow night's game. You'll be there right?" He asks. I blush a bit.

Why the hell am I blushing?

I literally have never blushed in my life. This is not good. I'm flattered by the fact that he seems to WANT me to be there.

"Uh yeah... Cam would kill me if I didn't go." I replied making sure there was a valid reason I would be there.

"Cool. So are you coming to the party Saturday? You should come It'll be fun!" He said and I could feel my cheeks getting warm. Oh come on why is my body responding to this?

"I don't know... probably not. It's not really my thing." I say smiling shyly.

"That sucks. Well if you change your mind I'll be there if you need company." He replies and I'm seriously shocked. Did Sebastian just ask me to hang out with him at a party.

Shut up idiot. It's not like he wants to go with you as more than friends.

Okay Alex. Just ask him about the project and get this done with.

"Thanks for the offer, but I doubt I'll show up. Anyway...so the project! You wanna work on it at your place? Mine's kinda busy and we won't be able to concentrate." I say all too quickly, trying to avoid any questions.

"Uh, yeah sure. Hey, how about I just give you a ride to my place after school and we can just finish up as much as we can tonight? I don't have any plans tonight anyway." He says smiling his flawless smile.

"Sounds good. Meet at my locker after 6th!" I yell running off.

Wow. I'm going to see Sebastian's house tonight. I'm probably gonna be working on the project in his room.
