Let's go in the garden
You walked into your old apartment. It had been years since you had last been there.
You'll find something waiting
It looked as if nothing had changed since you had last been there.
Right there where you left it lying upside down
You walked to your old room. You looked over to the dresser where you left most of your personal things.
When you finally find it you'll see how it's faded
There were photos of you and Roy, most of them were photos of you taken by him.
The underside is lighter when you turn it around
You lifted your favorite photo of you and Roy. You two were at the beach enjoying yourselves, and having a good time.
Everything stays right where you left it
It had been five years since you were in Star City. You never really thought about coming back.
Everything stays but it still changes
You left because you were so devastated by Roy's death that you couldn't stand to stay in town and be reminded of him all the time.
Ever so slightly daily and nightly
You hugged the picture close to your chest and broke down on the ground sobbing.
In little ways when everything stays.
