Your POV
"Karla Camila you had me so worried," Sinu told her as we entered the house. "No vuelvas a hacer eso."
"Mama, I'm okay," Camila said, hugging her mother briefly. "My phone was just dead."
"Camila, there are pictures of you at that party all over the internet," her mom said, making my eyes widen.
Camila looked at me worryingly.
"Was Y/n in any of them?" She asked her mother.
"No, I don't think so. Why?" She asked, wondering why Camila sounded so alarmed.
"Just wondering," she told her as she grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to her.
"You went to the party?" Sinu asked me.
"No, I just went to pick her up," I explained, earning a nod from the older woman.
"Thank you for that," Sinu told me, coming forward and pulling me into a hug.
"And you," she stated when she pulled back, pointing to Camila. "If you ever do that again I will-"
"Okay, Mama! Lo entiendo," Camila interrupted.
"Okay, you two can go," Sinu said, waving us off.
Camila immediately grabbed my hand and pulled me behind her as she made her way to her room.
She closed to door behind us and fell back onto her bed.
"Ughh," she groaned. "I wish I never would have gone to that stupid party."
"That makes two of us," I chuckled, climbing into her bed and hugging her when she scooted up to cuddle into my side.
"What are you gonna say to Lauren?" Camila asked, looking up at me. "She's gonna bring it up eventually. What are you gonna say when she does?"
"I'll tell her the truth," I told her. "I don't know how I'm gonna explain this to the other girls though."
"You're gonna tell them?" Camila asked me, fear laced in her voice.
"I kind of have to at this point. Lauren already knows and she seemed to take it well."
"I think the only reason she didn't freak out was because she felt bad for me," Camila said.
"Hey, I don't care how they take it. Honestly, I'm just tired of hiding. If they disown me and kick me out then whatever," I told her.
"Wait, what if they do kick you out?" Camila asked.
"Then I'll live in a box under a bridge," I joked.
"No, you won't. I'd make you move in with me, but that's not what I meant. If they kick you out then you'd be losing the only family you have left. I don't want to ruin that for you, Y/n," Camila pleaded with me.
"I've lived my entire life not knowing I was related to Ally's family. I think I'd be okay," I told her.
"Family is important, Y/n. I don't know where I'd be without mine."
"Well, its a good thing he's part of our family now," I heard a voice say from the doorway.
We both looked up and saw Sinu standing there with her arms crossed.
"Just to be clear, you're related to Ally Hernandez?" Sinu asked me as she walked in and sat on the bed.
I nodded and hung my head a little.
"How did this end up happening then?" She asked, motioning between Camila and I.
"That's a long story, Mama. We'll explain it another day. We met because he's helping with my album," Camila told her as she tilted my head up.
"Is that why you were worried about him being in any photos with you? How are you related to Ally?"
"I'm her cousin," I told her, laying my head on Camila's shoulder.
"How did you end up out here then?" Sinu asked, meaning how I ended up living with them in California.
"Mama..." Camila trailed off in a warning tone.
"No, it's okay," I said, sending her a small smile as I played with my ring.
"I... uh- I lived in Chicago my entire life. I never knew of any family except my dad, who I lived with," I started, feeling Camila begin to rub my back as I spoke.
"My dad was killed a few months back. The police tried to track down any family I had, and they ended up finding my dad's brother in Texas. That's Ally's dad and my uncle."
"Oh, mijo," Sinu said, coming closer to hug me. "I'm so sorry."
"It's fine, really. He wasn't around much anyways," I lied. My dad was always there when I needed him, I just didn't want to start crying.
"I moved out to Texas and lived with my uncle and aunt for little while before Ally came in. She was the only one that could really get through to me after my dad's death. She asked me if I wanted to come out to California with her and I agreed," I explained.
"The girls don't know about you two, do they?"
I just shook my head as Camila continued to rub my back.
"Lauren, knows now. She caught me leaving to pick Camila up last night and tagged along," I told her, leaving out any details about why I was rushing out.
"Was she supportive?"
"As far as we can tell, but I don't know how I'm going to tell the other girls."
"I think you two need to stop hiding from them. If it goes badly then you know you're always welcome here, but if they really love you they'll be supportive of anything that makes you happy."
"Thank you. You don't know how much that means to me to have your support on this," I told her. I never had a mother figure in my life so Sinu being there for me meant the world.
"Don't sweat it, mijo. I'll leave you two to talk," she said, kissing both of our foreheads before leaving the room.
"Are you okay with this? You know, telling the girls about us," I asked Camila.
"I think they should know about it. They might not be the happiest at first, but my mom is right. If they love you they'll support you."
I nodded and laid back with Camila, both of us drifting off to sleep.
