the only people that knew about the incident were mark and donghyuk. not even donghyuk's parents knew. but to be honest, donghyuk didn't trust his parents. and he has good reasons not to.

usually, donghyuk arrives at his locker at exactly 7:42 every morning, and mark knew this. so mark knew something was off when donghyuk showed up at 7:50. not to mention his obvious frown, and from what mark could see, tear stains.

"donghyuk, what's wrong?" mark asked, not really knowing why he even asked. donghyuk just shrugged and walked away. mark was going to be late if he tried to get answers, so he ignored donghyuk's strange behavior for now and went to class.

but of course, he couldn't focus. he was too worried about donghyuk. it had been a few days since the incident, and mark had thought he would be pretty much over it by now. maybe not? how should mark know? it's not like they were friends.

at lunch that day, donghyuk didn't sit next to mark. instead, he sat next to ten and jaehyun. they acted sympathetic towards him, they tried to comfort him. donghyuk was still upset. mark was clueless as to why donghyuk felt this way, so he asked his friend taeyong.

"taeyong, do you know why donghyuk is acting like this?" mark asked, turning to face taeyong.

"yeah. why?" taeyong replied, furrowing his eyebrows.

"could you possibly tell me?"

"come over to my house after school. i'll explain then."
