Chapter 4
"Gravity Sucks"
Phoenix's aka Angela's POV:
I heard a knock on the door and when I opened it I saw Sliver. The Sliver from the file I was reading, how did I know it was him. Well let's just say I could tell.
"Phoenix is your name, am I correct?" I nodded in response.
"Your name is Officer Silver?" He nodded in return, I need to fix this, it's getting a little to awkward. "Please come in and have a seat. Would you like some coffee or tea?" Good going Phoenix.
"Water please" I nodded and went to the mini fridge that was in the corner of the room, I pulled out a nice bottle of chilled water.
"Alright down to business, have you read the file yet?"
"Yes I have, so when will I be going?"
"Well You will be leaving the main planet after we finish our conversation, and you will not bring any personal items on this mission. Everything you need has been set up in Sector 0002, so all you need to bring is your communicator and you. Remember that the gravity on Sector 0002 is a lot stronger then any other place." He paused to make sure I was still listening before he continued. "Everyone says that Sector 0002 is very dangerous but it's only dangerous if you don't use common sense, that all I have to say and Good Luck Phoenix or should I say Angela." And with that, he got up and walked out of the room without another word.
I grabbed my communicator and my shrinking back pack even if I wasn't supposed to. I walked out my door as well as locking it behind me before I left, walking down the hall to the teleport deck I noticed the lack of people around. I understand that many of them have their own assignments and stuff but there are usually more people then this, I turned behind me just to see one other dimension jumper walking out of their dorm room, she looked at me and gasped before turning the other way and leaving. Well I guess that's why there arn't as many people around here. I continued down the hall before arriving at the teleporters and getting in one, "Teleport, Head captain's hall" I said and then I say the blue light flash and I appeared again in my tube but at the hall. "Name and code number please" The electronic voice that always said that still creeps me out. "Phoenix, code number 13 aka XIII" The green button flashed and the tube door opened allowing me to enter the head captain's hall.
I walked down the hall to the conversation hall and I took a moment to look at the area around me, The walls themselves we painted burgundy and the floor was carpeted with old looking carpet. The design on it was small little squares, I continued down the hall and made it to the conversation area where there was a big long brown table and Ming was standing with a few others.
"Hello I'm ready to go now!" I yelled cheerfully, they turned to look at me before Ming began to speak "Phoenix, do you have your communicator?" I nodded
"Good" Ming then proceeded to open a portal for me, the opening of a portal consists of saying a few word and clapping your hands three times, that sequence is just for the new create's though. The one's like General Ming and I have a different sequence though, we have the ability to just think of the place or say the sector number and it will open a portal, same goes for changing appearances to, but as I said earlier I prefer my bird form. As of right now though, I look like Angela. The girl I have to be for this mission. I walked over to the portal and walked though.
Colours, Colours and more Colours was all I say, this portal was like a rainbow twisting a lot, when I finally got to the end of the portal I appeared in a room with a two notes on the bed, the first note said;
You are now Angela from this point on, This is your room, you objective is to protect Lucas field with your life for his whole life span. Do not interfere, simply watch and make sure he doesn't die, do not tell him anything of dimension jumpers and or other planets. If you do, consequences will happen on main planet, communication to main planet will only be accessible from 10 to 11 am on your planet and you do not have to worry about acting like you've been at the school your whole life because you will be the new person in town and to the school. Focus solely on the mission at hand and only make friends if it has to do with you mission. Do not let anyone die, that includes you Fake Family and his family and himself, the deaths of others will not be put on the mission list the only ones that will be are the ones closest to you. -Ming
I know for a fact that I don't want any names on the mission list, the mission list is what lowers your rank or makes you go up the ranks and it's just plain old bad if someone dies. How you fail your mission is if you objective dies or the planet dies and if you die another dimension jumper will take your place, but considering this is sector 0002 I don't know what would happen. Anyway on to the next note;
Hey Phoenix! It's us Wolf and Kinto aka West and Kyna. We will see you at school and don't forget this, we will say our code numbers for you to know who we are -Your friends
Well I know for a fact that West's code number is 52 and that kyna's will be 22 so when I find out where everything is I guess I will see them at school.
After I stopped thinking I finally realized how heavy everything was, like the air and stuff. My legs buckled and I fell to the ground and I basically crawled over to my bed. The bed had red sheets that had flames on them and I also had red pillows. The walls we Purple and I had a big window to the right of my bed, the was a desk in front of the window with a light and books pilled on top. I haven't had a mission where I had to act before, usually I only have to do stuff like a dimension jumper; get there, fix the problem and leave. The missions I usually do, everyone knows about us. This is a very strange place...
When I finally pulled myself together, I walked out side my door and went down the stair to explore the house. I knew for a fact that I could explore cause we "Just moved into town", when I down to the middle floor I saw my "Mom" and my eldest "brother" unpacking the kitchen boxes. My mom turned around "So how do you like the place Angela?"
"It looks nice I guess" I responded I then took the time to look around. The kitchen had granite counter tops and everything you could need like; a big fridge and freezer, a sink, washer and an island and the table could fit eight people, I guess that's for the guests and stuff.
***Time skip***
Anyway, when the day was coming to an end, I went up stairs because I was so tired and tried to go to bed because tomorrow I have my first day of grade 11, it's not that i'm nervous because dimension jumpers are taught everything from calculus to every religion. It was just because I couldn't sleep properly, back at the dorms I slept in bird form. Oh wait that's what's wrong, I'm not in phoenix form.
I thought of my phoenix and I heard the shift, but I didn't feel any smaller. I look into the mirror and realized that I didn't turn into my bird form but I did sprout wing, red fiery wings that looked as it they were made out of fire but they wern't. Well I guess it isn't so bad, I crawled it to bed and wrapped my wings around me and before I drifted off to sleep one thought crossed my mind...
"Wow, Gravity really sucks"
