Katie's POV: After the whispering, Louis, Zayn, Niall, and Harry walked away, so I was alone with Liam.
"Hi," he said with a half smile. I gave him a half smile back. Well, this was awkward. "Do you wanna dance some more?"
Liam's POV: "Do you wanna dance some more?" What was I thinking? Could I have said anything more lame?!
"Sure! You pick the song?" I was surprised when she said that, and she even smiled when she said it, like, a legitimate smile. We chose a bunch of songs, and she danced for about an hour.
Then, I put on a slow song, walked towards her, and asked, "Can I have this dance?"
She just smiled and put her arms around me. We swayed in the sand, and when the song ended, she put her head on my shoulder, and we kept swaying. After about a half hour of that, the boys came back, though, and she quickly pulled away. I kind of glared at them, but I couldn't really get mad at them; they were my best friends, and it took a lot to get me really angry.
So the six of us sat on the sand and just talked. Normally, we would've been singing all day, but for Katie, the circumstances were different. We talked about ourselves; although, she seemed to know a lot about us already, which I thought was cute, so it was mostly her talking about herself.
"So tell us about yourself, Katie," Louis said.
"Hm, where should I begin?" she started with a laugh, "Well, I'm from New York, my best friend is Allie, we're both huge fans of you guys. What else do you want to know?" She smiled, "Oh, I went to your concert at the IZOD Center this past May! I remember, after the show, Niall, you tweeted about how large a crow we were, 16,100, and how you thought you hurt your leg when you did a really high jump; it was even high for you!" We all smiled at that. I remembered that concert! Louis had attempted a cartwheel, and Harry did the worm behind the couch, and then Niall did the worm for everyone to see. I smiled again at the memory.
We talked all day. I don't even know about what. We just talked about anything and everything that came up. Before we knew it, it was getting dark, and it was time to go back to our cabins to get ready for dinner.
"Hey, tomorrow for my free day, I'm gonna be in the dance studio all day, if you wanna stop by!" She smiled again and winked. I'm not sure who the wink was meant for, but I hoped it was for me.
