Cole knows that today is the day the heroine and ML will meet. Like any drama, the heroine runs into ML. Hope spills all her coffee over the ML; what a cliche. Cole needs to figure out how to intervene.

[Host the scene is about to play out in 1 minute in the left hallway from where you are.]

Cole goes to the place and sees the heroine about to run into ML. Without thinking of a plan, Cole pulls the ML out of her way. She ends up falling onto the ground face first.

"Are you alright, Marcus? Did you get any scalding coffee on you?" Cole asks Marcus coldly with a slight hint of concern. Marcus looks at Cole in surprise. He never thought his old friend would help him. In all honesty, Marcus was only friends with him because of his family and power. He also believed that Cole was only friends with him for that. Marcus now understood he thought wrong; perhaps it just started that way.

"I'm fine, Cole. Thanks for the help. No coffee landed on me, thankfully. I hate the smell and taste of coffee," Marcus thanks sincerely. He smiles at Cole softly.

"I know every time we gather, you ask for tea instead. William and I drink coffee, but we both know not to go near you," Cole responds coldly. Marcus never thought Cole took in his likes and dislikes. He felt guilty that he thought Cole was only friends for power. He didn't even notice Hope crying on the ground.

[Good job, the host. He is already ignoring the heroine!]

"Marcus, I have a small favor to ask," Cole asks Marcus. Marcus immediately nods in response.

"Well, you see, my sister just came back from overseas. And she is hunting me down to go shopping. Could you tell her that you and I had plans for today?" Cole begs a bit, which Marcus finds cute. He honestly thought it was business-related, not a personal issue.

"Brother! You cannot run away from me!" Screams Alisa, Cole's younger sister, running towards them and ignoring the girl on the floor who is seething with anger. Cole visually shrunk and sent Marcus a pleading look.

"Sorry, but Cole already has plans with me." Marcus covers for Cole with a gentle smile. Alisa frowns but nods in acceptance.

"Fine, who is the girl on the floor?" Alisa asks with indifference.

"A girl who almost tripped on Marcus. Luckily, I was able to pull Marcus out of the way. Let us go to class now!" Cole explains as he walks towards class. But before he was too far away, he turned his head. "See ya later, Marcus."

"See ya after school, Cole," Marcus responds with a wide grin. He walks away, forgetting the girl. Alisa tried to help Hope off the ground, only to have her hand slapped.

"Rude, I was only trying to help. I see this is why Big Brother refused to help you!" Alisa states angrily, making people aware of the situation and making Hope seem rude and ungrateful.

After class, Cole went outside and waited for Marcus.

[Heroine has approached Marcus at the entrance of the school.]

Cole smirks and takes out his phone. He dials Marcus as he knows that Marcus will answer. Right away, he picks up.

"Marcus, where are you? My sister is coming out soon. What if she sees me without you? She is going to force me to go. I hate going with her to shop. It always ends up with me carrying more than dozens of bags," Cole asks nervously, making his voice sound weak to urge Marcus to come quickly.

"I'm coming. Someone just held me up; I'll be out in less than a minute," Marcus announces. He hung up and headed toward Cole, leaving Hope fuming in the background.

"Marcus, wait up!" Screams a voice from the back, William, the second male lead.

"William, let us go," answers Marcus as he takes hold of William. It is humorous as William's face is full of shock. Cole found the situation hilarious that he couldn't hold back his laughter. Once Cole laughs, everyone turns in his direction. Marcus and William freeze a bit, hearing his laugh. They found it genuine and pleasing to hear.

"Cole, what is so funny?" Asks William curiously as he approaches. Cole calms down and gives a small smile.

"Your face of shock! It would seem that your eyes will pop out," Cole explains softly. It is giving William a grin that is only getting bigger.

"I'm glad you find my expressions funny," William sarcastically says. Cole chuckles and takes out a caramel chocolate bar from his car.

"Here as a form of apology," Cole apologizes as he hands the candy. Willaim quickly grabs it and smiles.

"Forgiven!" William replies as he opens his favorite candy.

"Why do you have candy in your car?" Asks Marcus curiously as he looks at Cole's car.

"I have a sweet tooth. I have more types of candy in my car. I just gave William the caramel chocolate as I know it's his favorite candy," Cole explains. William's head shot up in shock; he never thought Cole would keep track of his likes. Marcus' face scrunched up a bit. He never knew Cole liked sweets.

"Are you two okay?" Cole waves his hand in front of the two. William is the first to snap out of it and faces Cole.

"Yeah, so what's going on?" Asks William while giving the two a questioning look.

"Well, you see, I'm trying to escape my sister. She wants me to go shopping with her; that is the only thing I can't do. She forces me to be her bag carrier, and the women in the shops never leave me alone. Their perfumes are so strong that I feel choking around them. It's not noticeable when it's only one person, but once more, the smell becomes so strong. They also try to grab me and flirt endlessly; some are even double my age!" Cole complains, shivering a bit about the whole situation. Cole purposely gave a pitiful look to gain the two males' affection. One thing Cole always understood is that the white lotus act works. Every heroine in books is always acting as a white lotus. Cole smirks inwardly. He will beat the heroine with the same show. He, however, will do it more marvelous than the heroine.

"Don't worry, Cole, I'll protect you from your evil sister!" William exclaims childishly and gets into a protective pose in a joking manner.

"Hm, so where would we all go?" Asks Cole curiously while facing Marcus with an innocent curiosity.

"We should go to my home to play video games or watch movies?" Suggests Marcus
