I woke up as usual, and did my classes, overwhelmed with excitement for my first ever Shokugeki. Finally, the day was over. I rushed to the Shokugeki stadium, and found Nikumi with a giant piece of meat.

The audience began murmuring. "Oh, he's definently going to lose." "Ikumi-San is lucky, I wanted to beat him in a Shokugeki myself!" I rolled my eyes, and walked to my station. I looked up, and saw Erina, her purple eyes calm and amused.

Suddenly, I felt as though I needed to impress someone; a feeling I'd only felt with my dad. I shrugged it off, and opened my grocery bag, and got out some supermarket meat. "You're using that!?" Nikumi screeched. I gave her a beam. "It was on a discount, too!" Now the audience was riled up. I pushed their words out of my head, and began cooking.

I'd won, and shot a cocky grin at Erina. "Good game, Nikumi!" I said, not taking my eyes off Erina. Nikumi started protesting about my nickname I'd given her, but I didn't care about what she had to say.

Erina's POV

My heart hammered in my chest, as Yukihira looked at me with his amber eyes, and gave me an insufferable smile. I could feel my stomach churning, as he wouldn't stop looking at me. I was used to many guys staring at me in the hallways through classes, but m6 heart never felt this way.

I turned away from Souma, and put my hands on my heart. 'What's happening to me?' I thought with a fright. I shook my head, clearing my thoughts. I have to think about Ikumi's punishment for losing. I looked down again at the stadium, only to find Ikumi blushing at Souma. My gaze hardened, and I didn't feel the same pity I'd felt earlier. I was going to take away her private kitchens.
