As the sounds of Outkast blasts through Nas' NY apartment, Nicki was undressing getting ready to shower when she received a phone call.
"Onika, my baby" My mother's voice rang through the phone
"Hey mommy, it's so late at night what are doing up?" i questioned her meanwhile standing almost butt ass naked in Nasir's guest bathroom
" Your brother has a court date coming up in a couple days. You'll be in attendance right?" I sighed not wanting to disappoint her by having to tell her no.
"Mommy, I can't i'm so sorry, but my name is already being dragged in the mud just by being associated with Jelani" the line grew silent for about 2 minutes.
"Family should come first Onika" I could hear the hurt in her voice
"Well family ain't come first when he touched that little girl, he didn't think about my career or how it could damage my image in the long run. You know I will always love my brothers, but this just doesn't sit well in my heart."
She simply sighed "Okay honey, I can't force you to be here, but hopefully one day. Love you Onika"
"I love you too. Go to bed now" she laughed and hung up and I got ready for my shower
Meanwhile downstairs Nas is having a heated conversation with his second baby mother about seeing his son

" Kelis, you're acting mad juvenile right now! You never let me see Knight, I did take part in making him"
"You are an irrsponsible man" her boujie ass said through the phone. I know her unemployed ass husband listening. His ass ain't got shit else to do
" You calling me irresponsible? You have Knight flying all across the world when I can have him. Got him touching nasty ass chickens and goats!" I partially yelled
"Lower your voice Nas, just wait I WILL take you to court & take all of your earnings" I shook my head
"You ain't getting no more money out of me! what I pay is for MY son and MY son only. Not nobody else. The fuck you need over 8k a month for one child for anyways? famous or not" her ass got dead ass silent so I hung my phone up on her
" Man what the fuck! I'll never regret my son, but damn this bitch is making my ass itch" I facepalmed myself and sat down on the couch just thinking.
He stared at the ceiling until he heard Onika's small voice calling out for him
"You okay" she came over to me and sata next to me
" She's been making my life a living hell Nic"
" It'll get better Nasir. As long as you make sure Knight is good whenever you have him is all that matters. She's doing you wrong because of something that happened between y'all in the past"
" I know, but damn why she got to be this wicked?" I put my hands in my head
She laid her head on my shoulder then grabbed my hands
" Look at me" she turned her head toward her. " You are a great father to Destiny and Knight. Destiny turned out to be an intelligent young lady & Knight is one of the smartest kids I have heard about"
"She's not seeing that though. It's like I can never satisfy her. Always want more money out of me and claim it's for him, but she know damn well it's for them goats and cows she tryna gather up for that damn farm in the making."
