Chapter 5 : Underground Training Grounds

*Ashley's Perspective*
After that day the prince became my fiancee he kept coming to visit my house almost everyday.

Today he is here as well.

"Your highness must have a lot of free time. You should study more."(Ashley)

"Its fine. And Dont you want to see me?" (Alex)

He said with a smile on his face. This damn narcissist.

"But are you sure its fine?" (Ashley)

"Yeah its fine dont worry about." (Alex)

As we were conversing I saw my brother, Aidan heading here.

"Hey Alex seems like your here today as well. Why dont you just live here since your almost here everyday."

My brother said to the prince while joking.

"Is it fine?" (Alex)

The prince asked with an excited expression.

"Hell no! You actually wanted to?!" (Aidan)

The prince face then became sad.

"Seriously when it comes to little ash you become an idiot...." (Aidan)

Yep if he really stayed here that would be a huge problem due to his status. It is impossible for him to stay here.

Seeing their antics I sighed.

"By the way your highness is it really fine for you to be here? Dont you have things to do like classes and tutors?" (Ashley)

"Dont worry about that my classes with my tutors. I still have time." (Alex)

"You probably forcefully changed the schedule yourself didnt you." Said my brother, Aidan with a suspicions.

"My my, what are you talking about." In response the Prince the prince smiled. But when Audan saw this he knew the prince did something.

In truth the Prince did as Aidan said and changed the schedule so that he could come here. He even went tk the king and persuaded that him coming here is to deepen relationships with his fiancee, though it is not wrong. Well thats something that is not known to Aidan and Ashley.

"That reminds me its almost time for your baptism isnt it?" The prince asks me.

"Yeah now that I think about it, your already 6 years old..." (Aidan)

"According to Mother it should be next week. " (Ashley)

The baptism ceremony is a ceremony performed by the church every year. It is performed for the childrens who are at ages 5-6 years of age like myself. During the baptism the children will gain the blessings of the Gods that this world worships. It was at this ceremony where the children will be tested to see what elemental attribute they have, along with their talents which will help decide their path in life.

By the way my brother has the elemental attributes of Fire, Lightning and Wind. He also had talents in archery.

On the other hand the Prince had the Elements of Darkness, Shadow along with Wind. Perfect for a yandere I guess. Really handy for stalking his target... wait im his target! Sh*t!
Besides that he also had some talents in the sword.

The two of them would often spar when the Prince comes over here. They will use wooden swords and blunt arrows as they fight.

"Im really curious to what elemental attribute you have." Said the Prince curiously.

On the side my brother was less curious as he knows that I have the fire attribute as I created small flames before. He is curious if I had affinity for any other elements.

"Well enough of that. Lets go spar Alex." Said my brother towards the Prince. My brother and the Prince really like to spar. They are so evenly matched and can even beat some of the knights if they used their magic power based on what I heard.

"Sure lets go." (Alex)

The three of us along with the guards the prince has and the two maid and butler that serves me and brother went to the sparring grounds.

As we walked we arrived at an entrance in the garden. This was the entrance to the underground training grounds that my Father had built using Earth magic.

He had hired some people to help him build it and added various things for training. He often brought along his colleagues from work to spar and train here.

This was also where I practiced the different martial arts that I learned from books and my instructors. I havent used this place to train in magic arts yet since I'm still not in the age to practice magic.

"This place is really amazing no matter how many times I see it. As expect of the Head Court Mage." Said the Prince as he praised my Father. My Father works as the head court mage of the mages court.

The Mages Court is an organization of Mages who directly serve the Royal Family, unlike the Mage Branch of the Army who participates in war the court mages are more powerful and their participation in war can change the tide of battle to the kingdom's advantage. Those in the Mages Court are granted the title of Court Mage which grants status comparable to Dukes. As of now along with my Father there are only 13 of them.

My Father the Head Court Mage leads all of them and respected by others especially since he is also the best friend of the King along with his achievements. As such many wanted me and my siblings and sent many marriage proposals.

As to why the Prince is amazed by this underground training ground is because of the amount of effort my Father did to build this. He reinforced it so much that its defense is comparable to the barrier in the royal castle.

He placed so many magic formations the acts as a barrier so that you could go wild as much as you want in here. Well its understandable as he often sparred with the other court mages and generals of the army. If he didnt put that much effort this place would be destroyed.

As to why its underground, he didnt want to cause a ruckus and noise so he built it underground and placed ton of barriers and formations to prevent the people from making noise.

"Alex lets go get changed." (Aidan)

Towards my Brother's words the Prince nodded and followed him as they go to the changing room to change into sparring clothes.
