I walked to my class after dropping Manami at her homeroom. Hina went off to see a few teachers, Tanaka was off running errands for his father, and Takeshi was most likely hitting on some girls. Lastly Yuuji, Nao, and Kenji were off somewhere in the school causing trouble.
I entered the class and placed my bag at my desk. Nanaka was already in class and sitting at her desk. She had her headphones on and hummed along to the song with her eyes closed. She didn't seem to notice me and there was no one else in the room. I laughed slightly and took a seat. Nanaka continued to hum and I realized the song she was humming was from a show I used to watch as a kid. I decided to sing along as I could hear the lyrics slightly as her music was playing loudly in the headphones.
"Your heart, your heart has ventured. Your walls now perashing," I sang," like dead trees in cold December, nothing but ashes remain."
Nanaka paused the song and looked at me shocked. One, because I slightly scared her with my presence and two, because I was singing the song she had playing. I gave her a slight smile and wave. She smiled back and then turned towards me entirely.
"You know the song I was listening to," she asked.
"Well duh, that's why I was singing along," I laughed.
"How in the world do you remember," she questioned as I snatched her phone.
I pulled the headphones out and pressed play on the song. As I did I continued to sing along.
"Oh Ember, you will remember," I continued," Ember, one thing remains. Ember, so warm and tender. You will remember my name."
Nanaka gave a small giggle as I finished the song.
"You're not the only one who watched Danny Phantom," I laughed.
"You know everyone is right, you are such a dork," she teased.
"What, 'Fanning The Flames' was a good episode," I replied.
"You even know the episode name," she stated surprised.
"I LIKED THE EPISODE GEEZ," I exclaimed.
"Still doesn't mean you're not a dork," she laughed.
"Whatever," I chuckled," do how are you doing? Finding this place interesting?"
"Actually I haven't been around that much," Nanaka answered," other than the mall, school, and your house haven't really gotten around to sight see."
"I can show you around if you want," I suggested," everyone is busy today and tomorrow, so if you're free I can take you around."
"Sounds like a plan, thanks," she smiled," although are you sure it's alright?"
"I wouldn't have offered if it wasn't," I replied.

School had ended a few hours ago and Nanaka and I were currently sitting in the food court talking. I had taken her around the main areas of the city and we were just taking a break to relax. As we were talking someone approached me.
"Aw, how adorable," they said sarcastically," cheating on your girlfriend in broad daylight, how bold."
"No we're not dating," Nanaka quickly replied.
"Relax hun, I know he isn't cheating on Manami," the person stated," I know him better than he knows himself."
"Is there anything you need, if not can you leave," I stated.
"I'm sorry, I don't believe we've met I'm Nanaka Kobayashi," Nanaka greeted," and you are?"
"The person who is going to change everyone's life," the person laughed as I shot them a glare.
"I'm sorry," Nanaka stated confused.
"Stop glaring at me, the only person who knows my real name is that dimwit but if you need to call me something you can call me Fortune," Fortune replied.
Fortune, she was one person that I knew for as long as I could remember. I don't even remember meeting her or getting to know her. I just knew everything about her and she knew me. Something to know about her is that she only did things for her. Things that only moved her forward in her goals. She was merciless and heinous to those who opposed her and yet to those she cared about, she was ready to sacrifice everything to help them. For the most part she was neutral to everyone and seemed to be kind and slightly harsh when someone first meets her and she stays that way, at least to them.
"So are you a friend of (Y/N)'s," Nanaka asked.
"You could say that," Fortune answered smugly," but I can clearly see (Y/N) doesn't want me around so I'll be going now."
As she walked away she stopped next to me without and continued to look ahead of her. I looked down waiting to hear her make a harsh comment about Nanaka. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a smile creep onto her face.
"Relax, she seems like one I would want to protect," she said loud enough for only me to hear," she's not one I'll turn away. I believe she has a perfect smile."
I smiled slightly as I turned back to watch her silhouette fade away.

(Y/N) and I watched as the girl walked away. She seemed nice from what I could gather in our short encounter. She was fairly short maybe a little over five feet. Slightly tan skin and a slim figure that was all tied together with dark brown eyes and near black hair. Even in the small encounter I had with her I felt a small sense of mixed feelings. She intimidated me but yet I felt safe. She seemed like she wouldn't hesitate sending someone to the hospital because they looked at her wrong but yet she couldn't hurt a fly. She seemed like she would be a greedy ruler without a care in the world but also seemed to be willing to sacrifice everything if someone she cared for asked her too.
"You feel it don't you," (Y/N) asked.
"Feel what," I stated confused.
"Her energy, I guess is what I'm thinking of," he explained," the mixed feelings of uneasiness and comfort."
"Yeah, how'd you guess," I sighed.
"Everyone that meets her has that same look after she leaves," he explained," but I can't say what you're feeling is wrong. She is insidiously cruel depending if you cross her or not. But she can be exceptionally nice. The only thing that's annoying is she's a stubborn smartass that's brutally honest. Maybe that's why she has so many nicknames."
"She seems kind," I laughed, at least to me."
"You've got nothing to worry about," he laughed.
"Oh, and how would you know," I smiled.
"Because she believes you have a perfect smile," he answered," and I think she's right."
-
I walked home after dropping Nanaka off at her home. As I got closer to my home I noticed someone standing by my gate. I raised an eyebrow in confusion, then assumed someone from the group was locked out since only Manami and I are the only ones with a key.
"You're late," the person said with a light giggle.
"I didn't know you were coming over," I chuckled as Manami pecked my lips.
"I'm always over, I'm here more than my own home," she smiled.
"Why didn't you just go in you have a key," I asked," why are you out here."
"Because I wanted to walk in with you," she replied hugging my arm," it's not like I was waiting long."
"Alright let's go in I don't want you getting sick," I stated as she leaned her head on my shoulder.
"Let's have a movie night," Manami exclaimed.
"I take it you're sleeping over," I laughed.
"Of course, it's not the first time," she smiled.
"Whatever," I said rolling my eyes.
"By the way everyone is coming over later since we can't hang out tomorrow," she laughed and ran into the house without me.
