This wasn't the first time in my life that I had been grateful for the extra layer my cloak provided me. I was trembling at the power of Oz's voice as he ranted on to the Pandora members present in the meeting room. Liam stood behind me, half hiding with his eyes glued to the young boy. I was hardly listening to him; my chain was trying to divert my attention and put it on something else.

Don't listen, Mimi! She cried. He's no good! Let's go find some fruit instead! Fruit is good! That guy is bad! The thought of fruit was tempting and just as I was about to turn around, his emerald eyes locked onto mine. He walked toward me and anyone that stood in his way stepped aside. No! She screamed. Run away! He's no good! Run, Millennia! Run!

Oz touched my shoulder and my chain activated.

"Blood Hound!" Someone shrieked and all the Pandora members huddled in a corner as far away from B-Rabbit and Blood Hound as possible. Only Liam stayed. Blood Hound looked more like a wolf than a hound with her thick white fur and jagged teeth. She'd be less intimidating if she'd stop glaring the way she does.

"Kami," Liam soothed. The sound of the name I gave her caught her attention. "It's alright, he won't hurt her." He stroked her massive foreleg nervously. I missed her comment cause a gentle hand caressed my cheek, drawing my attention to its owner.

"I missed you," a melodious voice murmured. The gentle hand pushed my hood off my head and tilted my chin up. A man who looked like a grown up Oz gazed down at me lovingly, his eyes tender and his smile soft. He looked and smelled so familiar it hurt. "It's been so long since I've had a chance to touch you like this." He leaned his forehead against mine and cupped my face in his hands.

Either my trembling worsened or he finally noticed. I'm gonna go with the former cause Kami prepared to tear into the man, a low menacing growl resonating from the back of her throat.

"Kami." She backed down at the stern commanding edge in my voice.

The man held me to his chest and tucked my head under his chin. "You're shaking," he whispered. My hands clutched his green overcoat on their own accord.

"And I see your Kami still hates me," he chuckled somewhat nervously.

"I guess so," I mumbled. He held me at arms' length and looked me up and down. I had never felt so exposed in my life

Pandora members gathered around to see what the man would do next. All eyes were on me and I didn't like it.

"You've grown up so much," he smiled softly at me and untucked my hair from my cloak. I actually haven't grown at all. Or I just don't remember growing. He pulled the long dark strands over my shoulders and brushed my long bangs behind my ears. I barely registered the feather-light kiss he placed on my lips. But just as my eyes fluttered closed, he pulled away.

"I can't visit often, my dear Millennia," he whispered sadly. "It would put too much strain on Oz. Please try to remember me when I come back." Behind his soft smile and gentle gaze was a desperate plea.

He knew I didn't know who he was. Yet he still came to me. Anyone who would do something like that for someone like me is worth remembering.

He gave me one last hug, his arms gripping me gently but tightly. "I'll definitely..." I paused to strengthen my voice. "Remember you." Then he was gone.

I wrote this a really really long time ago (back when I thought Jack was a nice guy and didn't have a corrupt mind) ._. But there it was after all this time, sitting in my closet with hundreds of other writings that never made it anywhere~ :D hope you enjoyed it.
