Chapter three

Shelby's P.O.V

Nik carried me bridal style into Alaric's apartment. I held onto him and kissed from his jaw to his shoulder, teasing the skin with my tongue. Even though I had literally no experience in any of this, it was like I had this instinct of what to do. I had the satisfaction of hearing his breath catch and the slight moan that he made. He moved my face back up to his and he kissed me. It felt like a thousand volts had shocked me, he had this amazing effect on me. I kissed him back hungrily, wanting, needing him. His touch, his kiss, even his scent, all I could think about was how much my body yearned for him. I shifted my body, so that I could wrap my legs around his waist. His hands skilfully gripped my denim clad legs tightly, pressing his body against mine so that there was no space between us. I moved myself against him, causing him to make a wonderful noise that sounded like purring. I kept doing it wanting to draw out that noise again, I liked knowing that I could make him feel like that. He removed his lips from mine and he kissed down to the hollow of my throat finding a sweet spot there, making me moan.

"I love you so much. Always and Forever."He whispered.

"I love you too, Always and Forever." I whispered back, running my hands through his soft blond curls. I felt his lips form a smile.

I grinned at him and he did the same. We both looked towards the living room and saw a very shocked Katherine and Stefan. She was holding him against the wall by his neck. Elijah had just walked in and looked extremely awkward.

"Well this just got awkward." I laughed, Nik just smirked.

Katherine snapped out of it first and smirked back. Seriously, what is it with people and smirking?

"Look who came for a visit." She said, letting go of Stefan. I climbed off of Nik and stood beside him.

"Nik, babe I'm tired. I'm going to go to bed, Love you." I said and hugged him.

"Goodnight sweetheart and love you too."He grinned at me. I reached up and pressed my lips to his.

After a couple of seconds, I stepped away reluctantly and went into the bedroom. I closed the door and collapsed on Alaric's bed, exhausted. Only getting 5 hours sleep in 3 days after nearly dying inside made you extremely tired. I fell asleep and dreamt of Nik and our future.

Niklaus' P.O.V (After Katherine leaves with the cure)

I left the kitchen, aware that Stefan followed me and walked into the bedroom to see my sleeping love. I sat on the bed. I stroked her cheek and brushed her dark curls away from her face, she sighed in happiness and turned towards me. She stirred slightly. Stefan watched silently from the doorway, obviously shocked at my gentleness. I shook her awake gently.

"Love, we're leaving. You have to get up now." I said quietly, my voice soft. Her eyelids fluttered and revealed the beautiful colored orbs that gazed up at me lovingly. I stroked her cheek again.

"Nik?" She asked sleepily. "Give me five more minutes..."

I laughed quietly at her antics. She playfully glared.

"I've already got you a suitcase ready packed with new clothes." I said.

"But I'm so tired cant I just have a couple more minutes?" She asked hopefully.

I sighed " If you get up now, I'll get you coffee and I'll buy you those books you wanted." I replied, knowing how much she wanted them.

She shot up and looked at me expectantly, I laughed again.

"You can get them in the car, have a shower and get dressed first. There are some clothes in the bathroom for you."

She sighed and got up. She was about to leave but I sped in front of her and grabbed her waist pulling her to me. I kissed her slowly. Her hands went around my neck and her fingers knotted into my hair. I groaned and dug my fingers into her hips, pulling her even closer. She pulled away too soon and I protested. She placed her index finger on my lips, keeping me quiet.

"Maybe you could join me in that shower." She suggested smiling seductively. Where did this sudden boldness come from? I didn't mind because it was as hot as hell.

"I would take you up on that offer, but we're on a tight schedule so we're going to have to do that at our first stop, Okay?" I said reluctantly, I wanted to join her so badly.

"Okay. But you better come through with that promise." She told me pouting.

Shelby left the room and went to the bathroom. I turned to Stefan.

"Take these bags and put them in the car."I said, he grabbed them and left.
