  (Y/n) pov 

*beep beep beep!!!* you turned over and groaned as ur heard your alarm going off,you went to hit the snooze putt on like you do every morning."huh,what's this?" You spoke aloud as your had hit a medium size envelope.Sitting up in bed you looked over and took the envelope of of your nightstand noticing the most beautiful red rose you have ever saw.Placing a charm on the rose to keep it fresh you opened the envelope.

Dearest (y/n),

I really like you and have for sometime now and I was hoping you would come to the ball with me.Meet me in the astronomy tower at midnight tonight if your willing to give me a chance.I hope you come,also enjoy the rose I hope you like it.

"Probably just a prank" you thought to yourself.You decided to ask pansy for advice as she was your best friend and was always helpful when it came to boys.

After getting into your robes and getting the books you need for today's classes you head to the great hall for breakfast."hey (y/n)" pansy called from down the table,you walked over and sat between pansy and Blaise "hey guys what's up?" "Weeelllllll Draco here is nervous because h- OW WHAT WAS THAT FOR!" You looked up at Draco and saw that his once pale cheeks were now rose pink,you looked to your side once more to see pansy nursing her shin,"Draco must have kicked her under the table" you thought to yourself."ok well um whatever that was about pansy Could I um talk to you for a minute?" You asked pansy hoping she would get the hint that you wanted to talk in private "yeah sure what's up" she replied obviously not getting the hint "umm" you stuttered unsure what to say as the boys would get suspicious. A look of recognition crossed pansy's face and she seemed to get the hint "actually I've forgot my book for transfiguration how bout you come with me to get it and we can talk along the way" pansy said clearly addressing both you and the boys.

Not long after leaving the great hall pansy starts questioning you "ok what's up,you had a mixture of emotions this morning" she asked "I got a note....from a boy.....but it might be a prank"you told her this with a sigh "do u have the note?like with you?" As I rummaged in my bag I explained to her roughly what it said "aha! Got it"'waiting cautiously for pansy to read the note I shifted my weight from foot to foot."I don't think this is a prank I think you should go" pansy sounded confident in her answer but there was also a hint of knowing in her voice as if she knew something I didn't. "Ok I'll go even if I've been set up it will be nice to look at the night sky for once and not the lake"

Later that evening

I glanced at my watch,11:45.Ive been sitting on my bed since 9 just waiting and studying,I decided I would head to the tower eat,y giving my self time to change path if I come across filch.

11:55,I have reached the tower,nothing but silence as I stand at the railings waiting for the person who ever they are ,if they are anyone when suddenly I hear footsteps coming up the staircase. Despise the urge to look back ath the door I kept my eyes focused on the view put ahead of me. "I didn't think you would come" a deep but seductive voice sounded through the cold night and I could swear I know it from somewhere. I hesitate to turn around but when I do I'm awe struck,"Draco...w..why?" You also noticed he hadn't styled his hair today and you wondered why." If I'm honest I'm not completely sure myself,but I just know that one day I just fell in love with you,I know we have been friends since birth and if you don't want to ruin that I completely understand but please at least give me a chance." U were speechless never in your life had you heard Draco be more sincere " I....I....... why isn't your hair styled?" "Wel, remember that day when we were 9 and you told me I should wear it like this more often?" His voice was like that of a prince,"yeah I guess I do and i was right it did suit you,still does" "thanks (y/n) but back to the reason we are here,will you (y/n) be my girlfriend and go to the Yule ball with me?" He smiled and Draco has not genuinely smiled since we were 10 "of course"

The pair walked back to their dorms hand in hand ready to start something new
