Kat opened her eyes. Looks like she passed out on the couch. She heard Charlie on the phone, and then he heard what he was saying. "Yeah Kat doesn't know. Maybe we can meet at midnight when she'll be asleep. Uh huh, uh huh. Okay see you there Alex." Alex? Wait... No no no no, what am I thinking!? It's seven days t'ill our wedding! He would never ever do that. Would he? My mind battled, and gave me a headache. "Hey honey." Kat said acting as if she just woke up and didin't hear her soon-to-be-husband's conversation. "Oh hey babe. Have a nice nap?" See? He was sweet and considerate. Right then Kat realized something, Alex was a gender neutral name! All her worries were put to rest, but there was still a nagging at the back of her head.... She dismissed the nagging, its probably just the stress weighing down on her shoulders. "Yeah! How was work? Oh! Also, I made a guest list." Kat finally answered. "Great honey." Charlie replied, distracted by his phone. "Watcha lookin at?" She asked while making her favorite peppermint herbal tea. "Just work." "Okaaaaay." The rest of the night Kat tried to get something, anything, from Charlie to satisfy the suspicious part of her mind.
