My back slammed the cold rocky ground. My eyes they gleamed with pain, pictures of my loved ones came into focus as the world drifted off.
I was laying down in a wooden box, one side propped up and the other shut tight. I stared at the ceiling, and only the white tile was in my view.
Slowly a face peered her eyes on me. It was Hailey, her beautiful brown eyes were blood shot, I knew she had been crying.
Her black outfit startled me, I tried to move my lips ,and grab Hailey's hand and tell her it was going to be alright.
But my body didn't move, stiff as a statue, I stayed there. Watching the love of my life engulf herself in sorrow.
Suddenly, gasping for air my eyes they were wide open. It was only a dream.
Words from people around me felt distanced.Pain shot through my back, down my stomach and pierced through my arm. I was drenched in blood. Drowning in it.
Drifting off repeatedly, I kept hearing the words "Andrew, your going to be okay" and the yells of "Andrew stay with us" being shouted in my direction.
All around me,my fellow comrades came running. Pounding feet only made my headache worse. A surge of pain went through my body, as Comrade Leroy kneeled beside me.
"Your going to be alright" he said looking over my body.
"Ca...lll..Ha.iley.." the words barely making there way out of my mouth.
All of a sudden yells filled the air. And without warning an explosion did too.
