Drafted, Love, Hockey Life.

Chapter 1

Ellie's POV
Hi, I'm Ellie Lynch, I was adopted at the age of 2 by my parents Mark and Stormie. I have 5 siblings, Riker the oldest at 22, Rydel is 20, Rocky is 19, Ross is 18, and Ryland is 17. I moved away from Littleton Colorado at the age of 15 to play for the Charlottetown Islanders in Prince Edward Island, Canada. Whilst I moved here my family moved to Los Angeles to pursue their dreams of singing and acting. I have now been playing for the Islanders for 3 years and it's finally my NHL draft year, I'm going to be the first girl in the NHL.

Right now we are playing in the Memorial Cup finals vs the Regina Pats, I was forced to sit out because I broke my ankle in the Semi-Finals so I'm up in the box watching the team and then it happens my team wins the Memorial Cup they start celebrating on the ice.

I wish I was down there with them, I nod to my teammates and go home. I realize I should be with my team celebrating but I wasn't on the ice when they won so I'm not in the mood to celebrate and I leave for Dallas tomorrow for the NHL draft. I get changed and carefully get into bed, I drift off that night knowing tomorrow will probably be my last day in PEI.

The Next Morning
I wake up and decide to go visit Grouchy and Welsh before I leave for Dallas because I might not see them for a while because they still have another year before their draft year. I get to their apartment and knock on their door knowing they are probably awake, I decide instead of waiting to just walk in.

" Hey boys you awake." I yell through the apartment
" Hey Ellie, aren't you meant to be on a flight to Dallas." Welsh says
" Yes and I will be but I wanted to come say goodbye to both of you first." I look at them and say
" It's not goodbye, we'll come visit you and you can come visit us up here, you're like our sister and ain't no way you are getting rid of us that easily". Grouchy says

I look up at them with tears in my eyes,
" I love you both and I'm gonna miss you." I say as my voice cracks
" We'll miss you too but get outta here or you'll miss your flight to Dallas and you don't want to do that."

I hug them both tight and turn to walk out the door, I look back at them one more time before leaving out the door. I get to the airport and half an hour later am on my flight to Dallas to be drafted.

I land in Dallas around noon and then it finally hits me... Holy shit I'm getting drafted to an NHL team tonight and I'm going to be the first girl ever in the NHL.
