It was a dark night. I slammed the door shut behind me hoping it would slow him down. Tears streaming down my face I ran into the woods. I could hear him behind me picking up speed. I ran faster. I was scared. I ran and ran and ran. Tears blurring my vision. I looked behind me to see him closer. There was a road up ahead cars flying by. I couldn't stop. I ran as fast as I could just barely crossing the road with my life. I ran into the woods on the other side looking back. He had stopped. He stared at me. I saw a smile form on his face. I tripped on a branch. I heard the screeching of cars. I climbed to my feet and continued to run. I saw a house in the distance. A thought crossed my mind: I might get out of this alive. I ran as fast as I could. I got closer, closer, closer. I pushed the door open and slammed it shut behind me. I was breathing heavily. My eyes closed. I heard him pound on the door. It was dark. I looked around. I saw stairs and ran up them. I ran to the end of the hall and opened the last door. I ran inside it. Its so dark. I hide in a closet. I heard him bust open the door shouting.
"C̴o̴m̴e̴ ̴b̴a̴c̴k̴ ̴t̴o̴ ̴m̴e̴ ̴l̴i̴t̴t̴l̴e̴ ̴o̴n̴e̴"
I can hear him coming up the stairs. I hear him opening doors and rummaging through the rooms. Room after room he got closer. He stopped in front of the the room I was in. I heard the handle rattling. Then it was silent. I sat there for a while. It felt like hours before I heard the crickets. I came out of my hiding spot. I opened the door a crack and peaked out. It was even darker. I could smell a metallic smell. I was so hungry. I slowly walked down the hall. I walked down the stairs. I heard voices and froze. The voices got closer but I couldn't move. My eyes widened. I held my breath hoping that they wouldn't find me. Then I heard one of them shout, a male maybe.
"Give it back to me Ben!"
"If you can catch me!"
"Grrr I'm gonna kill you when i get my hands on you!"
I heard them running towards me. I unfroze and bolted up the stairs. I opened the last door and ran inside it hiding under the bed. I couldn't hear anything. I held back the tears. I heard a fuzzing sound. Then I saw his feet. He walked over to the bed. I held my breath. He looked under the bed. I screamed as he grabbed me tears running down my face. He dragged me out from under the bed. I was so scared I passed out. When i came to I was in a bed. the room was dark. There was a glass of water on the bedside table. I scanned the room. then I saw him in the corner. My eyes filled with tears. I whisper.
"P-please.. D-don't hurt me.."
He walked closer coming into the light. I could then see him clearly. He looked like Zelda.
"W-who are you..?" I asked. He didn't say anything just stared at me. He took a step closer. I backed up. I didn't know I was close to the edge.
"Watch out!" He called reaching out for me. It was too late. I had fallen off the edge of the bed.
