Lisa's POV.

Okay, so this is embarrassing... very.

The thing about having six best friends is that, you cannot hide anything at all. If one doesn't notice the other one would. They can see right through your soul and judge you to the neverland for thinking in such a very stupid way.

"Lisa, for the sake of my chickens! Stop with the frowning and pouting—you're not cute!"

Ah, guess who said that?

Groaning, I sent a deadly glare and said "Do not lecture me!"

"I genuinely believe there is nothing wrong about welcoming your cousin. Who knows? You might actually end up like her." Chaeng nonchalantly mumbled, giving more focus to her strawberry shake than the actual conversation we have in hand. "Indeed! I mean, why are you even acting like that. It's not as if she's an illegitimate child your Mom or Dad had kept in secret." Taehyung childishly seconded. "What's her name?" Hoseok asked too.

I mean, why are they dictating how I should feel? It just doesn't make sense. It's my heart and my brain. Aren't we living in a democratic country where we have the freedom to feel and express those feelings however we want to?

I cringed and stopped sipping on my drink. "Oh, please. Don't need no scolding. I just don't have a great feeling about–"

"Yes, exactly. When were you ever right about your superstitions?" Taehyung caught me off. I shifted my glare from Jisoo to him and was about to retort when Jisoo spoke again, "You're being rude and very unreasonable, Lisa. And that's weird, I've always known you to be nice, why are you acting that way towards your cousin?" I stared at her for a while and let out a deep sigh. "I don't know."

"I just–I'm probably just acting like this since I'm an only child. As selfish as this may sound but I don't like having my parents' attention divided." Rosé rolled her eyes as soon as I ended that sentence with a pout. "That's no excuse! For the love of God, Lisa! What's there to be nervous about? You're the daughter, she's just their niece. Stop acting like a brat!" She exclaimed. My eyes widened in disbelief.

Did she just—

"Yeah, you stop acting like a five-year-old kid, Lisa." Jimin suddenly butted in. "Hey, I am not!" I said in surprise. "Oh, sure!"

Wow, this is unbelievable.

"So? What's your plan now?" Taehyung followed up with wiggling eyebrows.

Oh God, him and his teasing will never end.

I eyed them. They were all anticipating my response, and I just couldn't bring them down. Sighing, I put my hands up in surrender. "Do I have a choice?"

Jisoo suddenly clapped her hands loudly. "You've finally gathered it together."

Why are we friends again?

Getting back at the argument earlier. I actually never had any plans about welcoming my cousin in such a very warm way. But now that I've thought about it—it's actually not a very bad idea at all. Who knows? We might actually click.

To clarify things, we have never met each other before—wait, I think we have. When we were kids, but I can't really remember. Ever since they migrated to New Zealand, our families were never able to reunite. Though they've probably been in touch every now and then—I probably was just not aware. But they're a family of doctors and they own a hospital, it's pretty much understandable to not have time to fly to another country and relax... or not?

I was so lost in my thoughts that only my vibrating phone pulled me back to reality. I took it out of my pouch and read the message my Mom sent and swiftly mumbled "Gotta go."
