Chapter 13

Liam and I walked into my house, with his arm still around my waist, and was immediately attack with questions.

“What happened out there?” Josh asked.

“Did you guys fight or something? Because Liam’s got one hell of a black eye!” Zayn pointed out.

“Liam you got your hand around Niall’s waist! Are you two dating?!” Harry jumped around excitedly.

Louis slapped him upside the head. “No, you idiot, Niall’s with Ashton and Liam’s with Luke.”

Harry pouted and rubbed where he was hit. “Oww, babe that hurt.” He whined at Louis who just rolled his eyes. “Anyway, if they’re with other people why does Liam have his arm around Niall? You can’t have your arm around him like that! That looks too coupley and your boyfriend is here. And Niall you shouldn’t let him do that either. Your boyfriend is also here. Now separated and go reassure them before they get the wrong idea.”

I gave Harry and amused expression and glanced up to see that Ashton and Luke weren’t even listening to the conversation. They were sitting pretty close to each other on the three person couch and were laughing at something on Luke’s phone.

I mentally awwed at them before replying to Harry. “I was never dating Ashton.”

Harry started spluttering him. “What…but…you…him-”

“Are just really good friends.” I finished for Harry with an eye roll.

He stared at me in disbelieve for a second before turning on Liam. “That still gives you no right to touch Niall affectionately Payne. Unlike Niall, you still have a boyfriend and you should be ashamed of yourself. You are hanging all over another guy when your boyfriend is here.”

I had to keep from laughing because Harry looked pretty ridiculous with his hands on his hips and trying to look so serious. I saw Zayn and Josh roll their eyes and made themselves comfortable and engaged into some kind of conversation about school. Louis was shaking his head fondly at his boyfriend.

Liam rolled his eyes. “Hey Luke,” Liam called out, causing Luke’s and Ashton’s head to pop up and stare at him. “We’re over.”

Luke raised his eyebrow the slightest bit then shrugged. “Kay.”

I actually started laughing at everyone’s reactions. Josh, Louis, and Harry looked shocked, with their eyes wide and mouth hanging open. Ashton smiled and leaned a bit more into Luke to continue watching whatever they were watching on Luke’s phone. I can’t really tell if Luke had told him about the fake relationship or if he was generally happy because they ‘broke up,’ either way I was happy for him. And Zayn just didn’t seem fazed by it, I don’t think there is any way you could actually surprise Zayn. He just goes with the flow on everything and nothing seems to bother him. I looked at Liam to see that he was biting his lip to keep from laughing.
