A Bus Trip

In one sunny day, where most people would eat breakfast, I was waiting on the bus stop. The birds are on the ground looking for worms. Which is a bad idea since you wouldn't see pink stuff wriggling on roads where buses pass by.

Or am I wrong?

Another wrong thing is to stand on the road looking for food. As the bird tries to find worms, a bus comes by. As most birds would do, they'll gonna fly before the bus even stops. But it was a different case for this bird. The bird looks exhausted, desperate to see worms to eat. Sadly, the bus turned this bird to a blood pool.

I was hopping in the bus when the driver shouted, "No kids allowed, young boy! You should eat more meat first."

As he laughs I told him, "But I'm 13! Isn't that old enough?"

He laughed even more. "You're not even old enough to say you're 13!"

He was right. I'm not old enough. Who would I fool if my height is of a 10-year old? But I don't want to let this chance go away. I need to escape from this stupid town.

"I'm paying you 10 dollars. That's thrice of the fare you want."

"You may be good at math, but I ain't giving you the opportunity to receive that money. I'm sure you stole it from your dad, right?"

Wrong. Totally wrong. I earned for this money. And he's wrong about my dad. I never had one.

"Leave the bus now. Out!"

I tried to push him. But he was strong. I fell from the stairs of the bus. It hurts.

People saw me. But they never cared. They were too evil to do that anyway.

But there was a guy who picked me up, and scolded the driver.

"Too rude for a kid, huh?" he said.

"Oh, look who's the rude guy here!" the driver replied.

"Children are not rocks that you throw anywhere."

"I don't care, you gentle freak." the driver moaned.

"This kid is my son. Let us go in."

He was wrong. I never had a father. But I know what he was doing. He was trying to bring me out of this filthy place. I want to thank him for that.

But he failed. He mumbled, "Hop in the back of the bus instead. I'm sure he won't notice."

So I did. I cling tight on the back, trying to protect my body from any cracks, slices or fractures. I looked at the scenery as it gets more beautiful. I'm finally leaving Mothswamp. Thank goodness.
