Chamille P.O.V.
Okay, so maybe sneaking out of my dorm after curfew wasn't the best decision I've ever made but whatever. I can do whatever I want. I'm legally an adult! Yeah, I know this thinking is the reason I'm graduating late but, why not live out my life to the fullest?
"Hey, Chamille!," greeted Amelia. "Guess what?! My dad bought me a Zenvo TS1 GT!"
I couldn't care less and gave her the best reply I could muster. "Good for you. You finally got it after two months of harassment."
"Ikr! It's so not fair that my dad made me wait so long," complained Amelia.
I caught myself before I rolled my eyes. To be honest, Amelia is a stuck up brat. I'm her "friend" because she is (for some unknown reason) extremely popular. I know that sounds shallow, but I don't want to be an outcast. Trust me, I've been there and it's not fun at all.
I'm so grateful for my Element. I've learned how to use it to help me fit in and keep up with the trends. In other words, I can transform myself into a "perfect" person. If they ever saw my real face and person, well... let's just say my status would crash and burn. It's easier to hide behind different personas than face people's cruelty. Yes, I'm a coward in a mask, deal with it.
"Hey, babe. Glad you could make it. You look so beautiful as always," complimented Liam, my unofficial boyfriend who I hate.
I resisted the urge to gag as he placed a quick kiss on my cheek. Liam was another person who liked me for my "perfection".
"Looks like Carter finally showed up with drinks. Wanna play power hour? Betcha you won't even make it through the first fifteen shots, Lightweight Liam," teased Amelia.
"Oh really? I bet you'll be puking your guts out after only ten shots," taunted Liam.
I muttered under my breath as I watched them grab shot glasses and stick their tongues out at each other, "I bet you'll both be too drunk to care when this is over."
During the wild drinking competition, someone brushed against me and pressed a note into my hand. Confused, I looked up and saw a man with purple snake tattoos disappear into the crowd. I decided he wasn't worth running after and took a look at the note.
Hey, Master of Form,
I choked on my drink and started coughing like crazy.
You have been chosen to compete in Master Chen's Tournament of Elements. Be at the western harbor in New Ninjago City by 24:00. Keep this to yourself and do not bring any weapons. This is your chance for more adventure and freedom. Use it or lose it.
I'm glad everyone was too drunk to notice my shocked expression. Just in case you didn't realize it, I'm a terrible decision maker and I love being rebellious which is probably the reason why I have made up my mind to go. Oh well.
Might as well take this opportunity to go as actual, wild me since it's guaranteed no one'll know me there. Now, I gotta think up a fierce form to go in. Hmm... I've always liked purple.
