"So whats your name?" I asked trying to act a bit more sociable. He pointed down to his name badge which read out Grayson. Im so awkward why didn't I just check the badge before. "Ha, yeahhh...god damn Audrey" I murmured quietly to myself, which wasn't quiet enough.

"Audrey huh? Cute name I like it," Grayson nodded.
"My mom was a fan of Audrey Hepburn and decided to name me after her," I smiled at him. He continued to scan the items,
"That would be 9.99, cutie," Did this guy just call me cute? Wow thats a first. The best compliment I ever got was from my crush in 8th grade saying I looked less like a potato.

I handed him the notes and gathered the food. "Thanks Gray," I said without thinking, a nickname, wow this dude is getting to me. He laughed lightly which instantly made me grin "See you soon Auddy," And saluted me goodbye.

Something about this kid made me instantly happy and he lifted up my mood a lot. I glared at the side to my ex, he was staring at grayson in-front and then turned to me. I gave a fake smile and walked away.

I had no care in the word and couldn't give two shits about anything.

When i got home i dumped the groceries onto the table and slid into my seat. I grabbed an apple from the bowl and crunched down into it. I hummed along to the song on the radio.

"Someones happy" my mom laughed. I continued humming and dipped my finger into the pasta sauce she was cooking. "Well whatevers making you this positive you need more of it, but it cant be drugs,".

I ran up the stairs and looked onto many doors. I ran into one, my bedroom and jumped onto my silk duvet. I pulled out my phone and scrolled through my contacts.
