We were at our third interview today. It was pretty normal, we got asked pretty much the same questions that we've answered at least a hundred times. What do you like in a girl? How do you like America so far? What do you think about all of the crazy fans that follow you around everywhere? We were all pretty bored and hoped that she would ask something that we haven't really answered before.
“So I heard that you guys were already working on your new album.” She said. There was a pause that we assumed meant she wanted us to confirm her statement.
“Yeah, we've already recorded a few songs and we will be recording some more pretty soon.” I said.
The interviewer turned her head toward me when I spoke, obviously glaring at me. I shifted uncomfortably on the couch and looked away. She had glared at me every time I've answered a question so far. I wondered what I did to deserve this reaction from her when I've never even seen her before today.
“Louis and Niall, you didn't really get that many solos in the last album did you? Can you tell us if you'll be singing more in this new album?” She asked, looking at the two boys in question.
I had to restrain from rolling my eyes when she said Louis's name, pronouncing it as 'Lew-is' despite the fact that we had corrected her at least five times.
“It's Louis, and yeah, I think that we will get more solos this time.” Louis said, looking around at all of us. We had to be careful of what we said about our albums before they came out because we didn't want to give anything away. Stuff like that was generally considered to be fine, but we couldn't give away much more.
“That's good, it doesn't really seem fair that everyone got a lot of solos but you two.” She said, looking at Louis.
“I don't think that its unfair exactly, I mean-” He started.
“I personally think that the album would have been better if you two had sung some of the other guys' solos.” The interviewer said, interrupting Louis. She looked directly at me when she said other guys' solos to make it clear who exactly she was talking about.
Louis looked uncomfortable as he looked around at our band mates. “I think that the album's fine. I'm happy with how it turned out” He said.
“But think about it, Harry got so many solos and you got barely any. I think that it would have been much better if you had sung some of his solos instead of him. Your voice is so lovely.” My eyes widened slightly at her words and the underlying meaning to them.
“Yeah, I guess.” Louis said uncomfortably.
At this point, I had to blink a couple of times to stop the tears that were threatening to fall. This interviewer basically just said that I didn't deserve the about of solos I received and Louis agreed with her! Did he really think that?
“So you don't think that I deserve the solos I got?” I asked Louis. I couldn't even look at him, I couldn't look at those gorgeous blue eyes, or his perfect skin. I shook my head, refusing to allow my thoughts to go where I knew they were headed.
I was too mad and hurt to think about Louis right now. I forced myself to look at his face though, and the tears automatically filled my eyes. “I thought that we were best friends and you liked my singing?” I asked, my tone bitter although you could hear the hurt in my words.
Louis's eyes widened as he realized what he had said. It's probably because he didn't want me to find out so I could go on thinking that we were friends like an idiot, I thought. I faintly heard the interviewer mutter something about her not liking my singing. A few tears rolled down my cheek and I stood up. “I'm sorry, but I have to go.” I said quickly before walking away. The interviewer seemed happy to see me go.
